Very nice reference pics  well done!

Top stuff!

That’ll be a big help to my hatchback modeling efforts

some of the above are a good example of how designs are just naturally “right” and some are just naturally bad or boring, even when talking about boxy hatchbacks, where the actual shape is very similar.

FTFY

Hey i have some nice but little bit rare cars ,perhaps not too nice :stuck_out_tongue:

Davrian MK8 or something… :question:build in Wales, a Kit Car, it’s rare.Well,I don’t expect more than that,right
http://www.tuningdaily.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/0466f_32755_189725.jpg

Marauder: Its build in South Africa, I know it from Top Gear which surely best motoring program i’ve ever seen

not this

but this
http://sitelife.aviationweek.com/ver1.0/Content/images/store/3/3/83f52567-fad1-4f8f-a3ed-c84ce2979b5f.Full.jpg
 actually its not kinda like a car, dont you think ??

Morris Marina: Actually its ugly, But Top Gear boys keep destroying it so its hard to find now
http://www.virginmedia.com/images/car_4_Morris-Marina-431x300.jpg

Plymouth Sundance: Its kinda weird for me but I like it

especially this

Ford Focus RS: Best Hot Hatch ever made

http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/12/2008/12/2009-Ford-Focus-RS.jpg

Caparo T1: Insane Car designed by ex-Brabham designer Gordon Murray

Suzuki Alto: Its just a joke :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:
Chrysler Prowler: The last good Chrysler, before they bankrupt

2010 Daihatsu Terios: Because its my car

Sorry for big pict, more to come

Not the cars that I like the most, but it’s some other examples of hatchback, especially for the mid-size/full size category, less usual than the small/compact category:

'83 Citröen CX

'85 Ford Scorpio

'93 Renault Safrane

http://www.histomobile.com/histomob/internet/7/16901.jpg
'94 3 Series Compact

'08 Mercedes CLC

'11 Citroën DS5

Great stuff! lots of good hatchbacks for me to work from. (though is a Caparo T1 really a hatchback? :stuck_out_tongue:)

1984 Honda CRX (Good Design) vs 1984 Opel Kadett (Boring Design)

That’s not an 84 CRX, this is:

You’re not being completely fair. While that Kadett is bland by today standards, you chose a poverty-spec version. The Vauxhall Astra GTE / Opel Kadett GSi looks much better IMHO (doesn’t exactly set the world on fire, but it’s not tha:

While we’re at it, some old superminis:

mk1 Fiesta

http://www.kiefcars.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/fordfiestamk1.jpg

mk2 Fiesta

mk3 Fiesta

mk1 Corsa/Nova

mk2 Corsa

Renault 5 mk1

http://www.renault.com/fr/PassionSport/les-vehicules-historiques/Images_Without_Moderation/renault5-3-zoom.jpg

Renault 5 mk2 (SuperCinq)

http://www.renaultfive.com/R5images/renault5-TS.jpg

Peugeot 205

Fiat 127

Fiat Uno

Austin Metro

I think those are most of the small cars from Europe between the mid-70s and the early 90s (probably missed a lot of them, VW Golf and Polo come to mind)

Fair enough, but I stand by my statement that the Kadett still doesnt look naturally ‘good’, like the CRX does.
They have tried to make it better, but adding trim and body-kit doesn’t change the basic shape of the vehicle.
