Possibly a low priority suggestion 
, but I’d like to see some luggage racks added to the Wings category. Here are just a couple of examples:
Pretty sure those can already be made with the current fixture system, which is good news.
Same thing for the roof rails found on modern cars.
I would try this by modding, but am deterred because I don’t have 3DS Max and I’m pretty much a novice at modelling. I noticed most of the mods that have been made so far are grills, vents and a few car bodies, so I wasn’t sure if it was feasible from a modding approach.

Perhaps it’s a failing of creativity on my part, but… how? Do you rotate a wing or something?
Wings/lips can not be rotated, only changed in size.

I think he means that a modder could make a rack and put it in the wings section without altering the game. The roof rails can be replicated with some of the items available in the community mod pack.
Make a flat wing with rectangular holes, BIG ones, and make it cromed. There is your luggage rack
This is just what I’m making now, actually. 
They will be under the bonnet category.
