Mara Motors Company Thread (now up to date till 2000)

My first encounter with a Mara Kavaler filled me with revulsion at how bad it was:

“It looks awful (not very period-accurate either), drives awful (redline on power peak, cheap, weak cast internals) and feels awful (basic infotainment in what is meant to be a premium car? Seriously, what were they thinking?). There’s no way anyone should ever want to aspire to even driving one of these, let alone owning one - no wonder I don’t want it.”

Still, the third-gen Kavaler, in all its forms, shows some promise - but only after extensive tuning and trim changes to fix its many fundamental issues, as shown in this subsequent review for the New Age Cab Challenge (which was for a cheaper trim):

The Council members open up the tab for the Mara and…stare…the super low fascia looks straight out of the early 00s, the design is bland and the power is pathetic for the size of the engine. One Council member points out the license plates which seems to be from an entirely different country to the United States
The council decides to bin the Mara for its odd and severely outdated looks and odd engineering choices. (You had something going in the trim engineering but I’d suggest practicing more, and good luck)
