MEN Nutfahrzeuge AG (originally TTL GmbH, standing for Truck and Transport Logistics) is one of the world’s leading providers of commercial vehicles. Founded by Wiktor Mentes Oskara in 1967, the company was initially headquartered in Tarnów, Poland but later shifted to Munich due to the presence of street racers disrupting the logistics of the company.
Repeatedly yelled OH MY GOD out loud when I got the joke. First I thought it was a joke about MAN, then remembered how much vmo likes the word “men.” Sorry men, lol men, xD men, etc.
The M-XD meets industry-specific and individual requirements with a wide range of features and customized vehicle body solutions. Whether you’re an independent owner-operator or the manager of a corporate fleet, it’s all about working productively while taking care of the bottom line.
There’s growth potential in some of these trucks (especially the six-pot versions) to create some properly MENtal dune bashers capable of giving a Ranger Raptor a bloody nose. It would be a shame not to do so!
The 1972 MEN 1260X, a standard utilitarian Vehicle in Communist Poland. Designed to provide working class farmers and workers with simple transport and a bed for hauling items, a car that could be used for personal transportation and work alike. With a 880cc 3 cyllinder pushrod engine, and an astonishing 27Hp. A 3 speed manual transmission, and Rear wheel drive. Quite tragically slow, but it was all the average Polish worker could ask for. That was, until Polish Street Racers began to harass shipping convoys, both stealing goods and causing drivers to crash their valuable MENs.
The company soon turned to CMW For a Solution, who took the 1260X and tuned it up, fitting it with a 2.2L B12 4Cyllinder, a 4 speed manual transmission, and various other upgrades. The result was the 1260X Polski.
You might be thinking, this performance version looks exactly like the standard 1260X, and it does, which was the entire idea. MEN wanted a vehicle that looked like an Ordinary 1260X, but was capable of outrunning the pesky Polish street racers while flying under the radar lookswise. The 1260X Polski had 143 Horsepower, and got from 0-60 in under 8 Seconds, making it more than capable. The Communist Polish government subsidized the trucks, making them more affordable, however, when the trucks eventually started to break, almost no Polish workers could afford the maintenance of the advanced western parts, and very few running examples remain today. Estimates have been made of somewhere between 2700-5000 Running examples still in existence.
Get around all kinds of things in your yard with MEN 450X series mowers. Select models are equipped with four-wheel steering to help you get around anything, power steering to make it even easier, and optional Mulch Control technology to keep your lawn healthy.
Power comes courtesy of a 749cc 3 cyllinder engine, which provides plenty of power and torque to handle tough mulching, mowing, and bagging conditions. The 48 inch Deep Mower Deck is a stamped-steel, deep, flat-top design that delivers excellent cut quality, productivity, cleanliness, durability, and versatility. Optimal performance and dispersion of clippings is provided, even at faster mowing speeds.
The 1990 MEN 176X, actually a rebranded ACA Ecoflow from 1979. Soon after the Solidarity movement succeeded in removing the Communists from the Polish government and the economy became less restricted, MEN was forced to rapidly modernize their fleet made of almost entirely aged soviet vehicles. They began negotiations with several other companies to borrow tech and import vehicles, the first of these deals to bear fruit was with ACA to import old Ecoflow vans, and re badge them as MEN vans.
Changes from the ACA ecoflow to the MEN 176X include changing the 440 V8 to run on 80 octane Soviet fuel, adding a standard 4WD system with locking differentials, an offroad skidplate to protect from the damaged roads, as well as larger, offroad tires and raised suspension to deal with the potholes. The vehicle was very thirsty, only getting 8MPG, however it served as a halfway between a standard small utility vehicle and a much larger Lorry.

To Celebrate the 31th anniversary of the Polish People’s Republic, the Soviet Agitprop department commissioned MEN trucking company to celebrate the occasion with a special edition 1260X, initially pitched as a more sporty, exciting and prestigious model of the original 1260X, however it quickly became watered down and the only marginal differences would see the light of day, such as 4 horsepower over the standard edition, 31 vs 27, twin stainless steel exhausts despite only one being functional, and decorative steel wheel covers. Also the 31th special badging. All 31th Anniversary models come standard with 4WD and locking differentials, both optional on the standard car.
