Nope. I could theoretically do more if I did.
Canât you see? cut down the gears, remove PS and you are almost at 816.466kg limit.
Also turbos, downforce, active-stuffâŚall heavy. If I have time, I will build 2 models. One supersmall with every gadget possible and another (currently in progress) smallish without gadgets.
will driveability even matter? hope not
Also we have engine year, what about model year?
Iâm just under weight limit, doingâŚletâs say around 400hp, give or take, not sure how to tune thisâŚthing.
steam workshop mods allowed?
i wanna make a rear engined miata, so yeah
ok, made a 754kg car with 52 drivability, for about 10500 dolars on my first try, it isnt that hard (0-100km/h 5.8 and max only 196km/h , guess there is still room for imrovement)
body: rear engine miata, from steam workshop more rear engined cars
chassis: glued alu (weight reduction)
suspension: macpherson strut (weight reduction)
drivetrain: RR, much like FF (weight saving) , because FR, would be heavy
engine: 1.6 liter v8 modor (yes american say modor not motor)
with witchcraft electronics it makes 160HP and a good fuel economy
blah, blah, almost all uses -5 quality sliders, except the chassis, because it would weight more and the engine, because reliability
803.5 KG, and 237 top speed
acceleration is 5.8 seconds,
So, are we coming to a consensus that 1800lbs is too light?
K.
Btw. Yes. Iâm allowing any mods.
It is tricky, but by all means manageable, and the need to remove some options in order to make others viable will probably give a better variety in the end I believe. Like AirJordan said he is testing out the supercompact with all specs vs smallish with few gadgets
My current setup is consists of a FR car powered by a V12 Turbo with wheelspin up to 240km/h, weighing in at 808 kg. Some sacrifices has been made in the process, itâs a fun car but not optimal
This American calls it what it is, an engine, not a modor.
Iâve built my car and sent <$7k. Can I use quality sliders to improve my car within the $12k budget and THEN spend another 40 Qpoints?
This is technically correct as engine denotes combustion powered while motor (or modor) denotes electric powered.
Presenting the 1975 Bogliq Kitten L - Tuned!!!
Starting life as an unassuming MY75 Bogliq Kitten with a 1L pushrod engine, the students at UoM (University of Moldova) modified, fettled and transformed every aspect of this little coupe to maximise performance. Suspension settings were stiffened, Rally-Comp mag wheels were fitted, big brakes installed and the interior simplified to make the car as competitive as possibleâŚ
But the one aspect that didnât remain the same was the engine. The old iron block was turfed in favour of a 1799cc, 5 valve crate motor, usually used in Formula Moldova open-wheelers. When mated to the Leeroy Racing 5 speed Rally-Comp manual gearbox, this engine is able to propel the diminutive Kitten to 100Km/h in under 5 sec while providing a top speed over 200Km/h!!!
Needless to say, the students are really excited to be competing and we at Bogliq Automotive are proud to be furthering the careers of the next generation of car enthusiastsâŚ
Buy better, buy Bogliq!
The 1800lb no CF and 12k limit serves as an effective body restriction as virtually nothing with a wheelbase of over 2m will be light enough or cheap enough. Itâs a good challenge and will require some serious compromises.
Iâve got a feeling RR is a good way to go, if you want to push serious power around. FF will allow more lightness but you probably donât want to use 400hp turbo thenâŚ
Hmmm i may have picked the wrong body style. Also, best body is not updated yet
ahem**ahem 296km/hahem**ahem
Crap. I never thought of that. Uhhhh ⌠ShitâŚ
No. Everything, up to 40 points is included in the final price. That is why I allowed the the use of negatives.
Of course I have, Jeremy was the best reason to watch Top Gear. I still havenât brought myself to watch the new Top Gear yet.
Do the total points need to add up to 40? So if we use 2*-5 quality can we use a total of +50 quality points?
I donât think he meant that, because it wouldnât make sense to allow -5 on safety and give you an extra 5+ points elsewhere. Negative sliders should count towards the total.
