Well, I for one got rather frustrated when I could not at least match the Minirod’s performance. I think your “Preliminary Testing” is holding quite a few people back. Why would we submit a car knowing we already lost?
It seems that Bi-Turbo v8’s and an obnoxiously small body are the theme here. I would suggest you download the “more mid-engine” and “more rear-engine” car mods to boost your options.
I’ve got everything that is on steam, are you suggesting downloading something else, isn’t that a bit like cheating?
ANZhotrods would like to announce that we will be withdrawing from the competition at this stage.
With our car now being used as the benchmark we know that we will not be competitive and as such will be withdrawing all funding in relation to the Micro Hotrod program. Thank you all and good luck may the best car win.
There is the problem with the “Preliminary Testing”. @Darkshine5 has withdrawn and now I know that my car, if entered, would be the fastest so far. Why would I submit it now? This feels like the Nurburg Challenge, why post if you can’t beat the fastest time.
It seems to be counterproductive to post people’s times when they submit the car.
If you have the fastest car, everybody will use it as a benchmark and your reward for submitting early will be having someone beat you. And if nobody can beat the time, they just won’t submit.
I’ll say I had something a teeny bit faster than Darkshine’s Micro Rod. I’m definitely not going to submit it early if it leads to having my time revealed.
God dammit. Every time I try something interesting I screw it up.
I have an idea for some stuff about MMC3 Would you guys be cool with a quick reset?
quick reset. like different rules and stuff? acceptable.
maybe make it themed. like, eco micro machine. strict fuel economy and price.
or mini monster, have a minimum of power to weight ratio.
or something along those lines. the key word here is THEMED
Roger that. Here I go.
Agree with koolkei, acceptable if themed
Why we have prelims right?
Got no problem with a reset. Would prefer, though, not to have a weight limit that requires fiberglass. Thought it would be interesting this round, but when there’s really one choice - Use fiberglass or lose - I’d prefer a bit more weight to work with. 1800 pounds was good, but I think, maybe 2000 pounds would be better. Not much more weight, but it’d allow for aluminum.
after this awkward situation, a reset would make sense, although shame for my car that will not see a competition.
I liked the rules, the tight weight limit taught me some very interesting new things, which I hope will come handy in the future.
That said, a reset sounds like a good idea.
Since I’m fairly happy with what I made I might as well post the time I got to. Getting there was not easy.
The engine is neither a V8 nor placed in the rear.
do not scrap this just reset some of the rules and lets go again…just dont post times lol
