More information about stats

First of all, engine demo looks really good. Have been playing it since you guys uploaded it.

After playing for some time I have realized that I don’t really understand what the numbers for some stats means, like loudness, mttf, responsiveness and stats like that mean.
What I mean is just how loud is 70? Is it ok for a sports car? Small family hatchback?

Is there a way maybe in addition to numbers you can put information like “average” or “good”, “loud”? Just to sort of at least give an idea of what car I am building. I am personally especially confused about mttf. I tries searching for it, but haven’t been able to find information to be able to compare to other cars.

Thanks.

yeah MRevs doesn’t make a whole lot of sense till you fit the engine to a gearbox and a car, but playing through the scenarios should give you at least some idea of whats normal for the various stats.

To give a hypothetical example

100,000 miles at 45 mph = 2222 hours
2222 at 3000rpm is 399MRevs.

For loudness I’d assume it’s decibles, based on the numbers returned for various configs.

A note (which we might need to explain better) - things like Loudness, Smoothness, Responsivness etc. are arbitrary ratings, not real figures of any kind. They’re only useful in the context of comparing to other Automation engines
