Multiplayer additions

I’ve been trying to play multiplayer for some time now. On Saturday, I was able to find many rooms and players. I think I was able to play 12 or so games and absolutely LOVED it. But, it seems odd, though, that there have been over 5,000 people buy the game and when you want to play multiplayer, not a single player is on. It kind of bothers me…
So here’s my suggestion.

Player A is only able to get on the game for 10 minutes out of the day, very late at night. Player A knows for a fact that nobody will be online to play, but starts a game anyway to see if he gets lucky. 10 minutes goes by, nobody joins.
Player B is in the same boat, at a different time.
As is Player c, D, E, and F.

I think it would be great if someone was able to start a game with nobody else, set up the limits/mode, etc, attempt to accomplish the objectives and save the file to a “cloud”(so to speak) so that other players can try and beat it. The file is only available for, say, 12 hours. 9 players try and beat it but fail. Player A logs on after 12 hours and receives a message saying he just won and gets 8 power level added to his ranking.

edit- instead of a cloud loading it, would it be possible to just have a separate tab that has a bunch of pre-loaded games that masses of people could try and beat? They automatically regenerate every 6 hours and could have 50 players try and beat it. In a way, it’s similar to the weekly engine challenge.

It seems like my worries about Automation really speaking to a non-Multiplayer audience were valid - you are correct, compared to how many people have the game, only very few have tried out the Multiplayer mode.

I very much like your idea, as it indeed solves the “no games available” problem and brings the engine building Multiplayer closer to a Singleplayer experience.
What goes missing is a great deal of urgency caused by the live leaderboard though, without that, it will feel much different and more remote. This mode also would increase how much data the server has to handle, although that might still be within reasonable amounts. Finally, cheating is made easier too, although I don’t think that really is an issue.

We’ll have to discuss the Multiplayer aspects and priorities in the team  Thank you for this suggestion!

Personally I think later on when the game is more “ready” and more people own it, a lot more audience will be playing in the multiplayer.
