Partial Aluminum suggestion

I have no idea if this has been brought up on the forums or not but I would still like to suggest this.

Ever since partial aluminum had been introduced into the game I’ve been thinking, what if you were able to choose what other material would be used alongside aluminum? Other car companies have mixed aluminum with many different materials so why can’t we be doing the same? Let me show you with pictures.

(sorry for small pictures)

Let’s say that Aluminum in these pictures is Partial Aluminum. I couldn’t get a picture that had Partial Aluminum in it due to the open beta fps that I have been getting. This picture is what it would look like normally.

Now I have changed the picture. Now you can see (hopefully) that there is a drop down menu that you can activate.

This picture shows what it would look like if you pressed the button that activated the menu. now you can see that there are a few options that you can choose, which can be used alongside aluminum for body panels. I hope that explains everything clearly. If not I can explain further.

There comes a point where you need to limit the number of choices to something meaningful.

The partial aluminium is more meant to represent the now very common choice made by car designer to still use mostly steel, but replace some panels, like the hood and trunk with lightweight materials mainly to help reduce fuel consumption.

Many do it with alumium and others do it with GFRP (Like the current gen Dodge Caravan’s hood for example)

But in the end you don’t need many versions of essentially the same thing.
