To be honest, I don’t think a thread about police equipment in this game have ever been requested, so I don’t see why not.
Anyways, what I’d like to see in Automation is police equipment, such as pushbars, A-Pillar mounted spotlights, and lightbars (can be any style), so you can create your very own police car within the game to your heart’s contend.
If this idea is making it into the game, feel free to let me know. 
That is 0% something we’d put into the game ourselves, but 100% something I can see modders do 
especially such “cosmetic” things are reasonably easy to make and implement, but just too time consuming for us to do.
Why not implement a police car market? It can be done simply adding a market category for Police Cars, and maybe a special option in the interior tab (e.g. you can choose between Premium interiors or Police interiors, or maybe in the entertainment: 80’s Police Radio)
Well, on that token, why not a Fire Truck utility equipment set or an Ambulance Interior? And why stop with just an offroad skidtray, when you obviously need a winch and pulley, bullbars and roof racks? Compared to those things, police interior is just, you know… lower on my list 
And with that I think we can see quite well why that specific idea isn’t going to be a part of the trim design… if one then why not everything else? As for modded parts in the model designer, well, that would be super cool and I think a lot of people would have to be interested but that’s a lot of modelling to do…
I am going to look at making lightbars for Police (blue), Fire (red) and Medic (green). This was out of my own wants for cars.
I’m also going to look at doing bullbars.
But I’m having issues with a simple badge…sooooo…it could be some time!
