Public Release Build 1414

Sweet!
Whoops, sometimes when we rebuild UI stuff, an Image doesn’t get regenerated and gets lost.
Hi.

Since the update, 5 mins ago I’m having problems placing objects on the car.
I have to keep the mouse pointer about 10mm to the left of the object.
Otherwise I can’t ‘pick it up’ and move it.
I also know exactly what that is, and I am kicking myself for not testing it. I will get a new update out tomorrow to fix it.
OK! Thanks!

new patch (b1409),

buttons are hard to read and the test track has gone walkies

second test track run resulted in an error

Lua Error:

Woohoo! transparant background pics! Let the crappy photoshopping wars begin

I don’t see any mention of it in this thread, I get the feeling I’m missing something obvious. But … I seem to have but one, very low, sound level on my engines. I think Conedodger mentioned this in his video with Killrob, (something along the lines of hearing an engine in the background). Now we have build 1409, with the same problem. I guess the rebalanced sound levels are in the UI.
I assume this is known, but couldn’t keep myself from posting this anyway.

As an aside, will we get dynamic engine sounds for the test track like we had in the engine designer?

Almost forgot … I love the concept of Automation, and what we have so far isn’t too bad   Keep up the good work!

Mine was more about just a very quiet engine, but there is a lot of work being done on sound balancing/mixing so that’s probably something to do with that. Seems the regular muffled engines are a bit too quiet to compensate for the crazy ones not being too loud?

Holy photoshopping, Dragawn, that’s nice!

that’s the best thing

All old bodies are available in modern years

Thanks! I couldn’t resist with the transparancy available :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey Killrob, i saw one thing that i consider a failure on the new update, and i will try to explain with my awful english :-p

When i go to edit a engine that i created on the last version, i can change the configurations and return to the test screen and do other test, and the engine name continues the same.

But if a create a engine on this new update ( 1408 or 1409), save with some name ( like [red]teste[/red], for example), and return to edit the engine features, when i press the test button, the engine name changes to “1.4L Sohc” ( i did a 1362cc test engine).

The failure only happens with engines made on the new update. I tested the 1408 and 1409, and the problem is the same.

Ah, other thing: after save a car or engine, when i try to return to the previous screen, the game go back to the “main screen”, instead return to engine/car list. Is it normal or a bug?

Yep, these have been spotted and reported

The game is ‘letter boxed’? With black bars at the top and the bottom?

yes and at top of screen where it reads wgt with [lb ] under it i see s t c p f spaced out

this is not a bug report but I would like to say that the 1409 patch operates much faster on my old computer versus any of the other updates so far. Dunno what changed but keep it up!

Same for me, much quicker loading times, and performance is set to increase by the final release, so our underpowered PC’s can get a good rest! :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! And just keep designing and challenging yourself to try stuff, and you’ll end up making different stuff automatically, maybe try some different headlights?

Also, the load times indeed have decreased, but the testing takes like 5 seconds on my pc… and I have an i7 with an SSD, I wonder where it bottlenecks

i get the error

"tolua++dbcall failed!: [string “–client\functional\CCarManager.lua…”]:151: attempt to index field ‘Results’ (a nil value)

You van CTRL + C to report it"

and then the game crashes
