Introduced in early 2006, the Gruis’ first generation was not as well received, the compact SUV market had not really taken the world by storm, and so only lasted for 4 years before the second came about in 2012. Finally the third generation launched in 2020: It had been updated all around with a more aerodynamic shape and lower tapering roof towards the back among several other upgrades.
Offered in either a 1.8L or 2.0L Inline 4 configuration with AEVT system providing superior economy in normal driving conditions with power when needed in high-rpms, the Gruis managed to keep up with the rest of the competition, barely. Though it made up for this with what Arion does best: Lavish amounts of comfort and prestige.
The Gruis comes standard with an AWD drivetrain complete with semi-active damping, and 7-gear electronic-automatic transmission.
