I didn’t do a whole hell of a lot of research into this, I started by trying to make a turbo 4.3 V6 like in the cyclone, but I couldn’t get the mileage I wanted from that. Just kinda landed at 5.4, good output and reasonable economy giving the horse / torque curve I wanted
@Lanson, may I resubmit it as soon as I get home today which be around 4;30 PM, being 4 hours after the deadline. The trucks wouldn’t be reviewed as of the instance the due date and so could I be granted time to fix a simple mistake?
I can’t let 2 hours of tuning go to waste.
Yeah, i dont think i have the time to wubmit it unfortunately, i dont get home for another 2-3 hours
As far as I have experienced both in this thread and over PM, Lanson is a very generous host.
So there might be a chance for you two, good luck.
What is the point of having deadlines if you make exceptions for everyone?
I agree, deadlines are there for a reason, otherwise it wouldn’t be fair to everyone else if Lanson let you guys submit after the deadline, :/.
I already submitted the car before the deadline, but it is in the wrong year. If I was remaking the entire truck then I would sympathize with your reasoning. However, for simple things like the truck year and just sending a car shouldn’t be dammed.
Another point to be made is that Lanson would not be immediately reviewing the trucks, so it would make sense to allow for a grace period until he actually reviews the trucks.
On the whole re-submissions for any reason are usually not allowed, it’s obviously up to each host. But just because one person allows it for a reason don’t expect it from anyone else as it isn’t the norm.
Ok so we havnt been told that subs are closed so imma say we clear
Yeah I’m working as usual on a weekday so I have not had a chance to announce the end of submissions. The update and the need to make sure techpool is zero across the board did cause some issues.
I do think I’m a generous host, and that reflects IRL. It’s a hobby here not a strict sports league or a spelling bee. We’re here to enjoy ourselves.
That said, submissions are officially closed, and I’ll process what I got from each up to this point in the next few days.
Thanks!
serious question
how old are you?
be honest
I really don’t get what’s the problem here.
spam account, probs.
looks to be, either that or a legitimate child.
Thank god the rear seats of the Globus Yosemite are so cramped that annoying Kids won’t sit there for more than half an hour.
Might be a pro in the competition now
imagine having rear seats
this post was made buy the large bed gang
Scrolling through the entries, I might be the only one sending an extended cab into this competition. Even if its maybe a handicap, I do prefer the 2+2 trucks in real life.
As I see others installed an 8-liter-powerplant, I won’t win the sporty part anyway with my 5.7
Not necessarily, a lower displacement engine can produce more power than a large engine, and even so a larger amount of horsepower will make it harder for said power to be put out through the wheels- causing wheelspin and a slower 0-60
mine has around 300hp and weighs a ton…definitely gonna be the slowest
