Guys, I’d like to preorder the game. But I can’t find the link to do so. How can I do that? Through the “buy” button on the loader or through Steam?
Anyway, I’d like to make a few suggestions for Latin American markets:
-
Brazil itself is so large that it justifies being divided in two markets: one, composed by the Centre-West, North and Northeast regions (you can find them here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_Brazil) has got lower purchasing power and poor roads, so cheaper, easy to repair cars, and 4x4, utes and pick-ups will be more successful. They will, however, increase their purchasing power by 50% beginning in 2003. The other, composed by Southeast and South regions, will have more puchasing power beginning in the 60’s already. Both regions suffered a lot with inflation in the 80’s and early 90’s, but recovered and were object of a boom beginning in 2002;
-
Argentina, Chile and Uruguay (“Cone Sur”) had a significant purchasing power already in the late 40’s. These countries enjoyed a great living standard until most military dictatorships came into power, in the 70’s. The income of the population suffered a slow decline until the beginning of the 80’s, when (just like Brazil) they suffered a tremendous inflation shock until the end of the decade. They recovered slowly by the 90’s and 2000’s, but not still up to those levels. Every type of car, just like the second region of Brazil, will be successful here, with a trend towards urban vehicles as time passes;
-
The Andean community and Paraguay, just like Central America and the Caribbean (please include Suriname and Guyana in the Caribbean region), suffer also from poor roads, dictatorships, severe inflation, political instability and low purchasing power. Just like the first brazilian region, utes, 4x4’s and cheap cars will be successful, but limited due to the low income and high inequality;
-
Mexico, just like the second region of Brazil and Cone Sur.
Another suggestion: will political and economical events be included, such as surges of inflation, economic stagnation and coup d’états be included in the economic model?
