Saminda Motor Co - 1 Million RE Series 1.5 Turbo Engines Recalled Due to Overheating Risk

From 2003-2012… That is a lengthy quality control issue. Surely some extensive investigation into what decisions were made to produce such a deep crisis must have been undertaken. Was it an unforseen thing? Cost cutting? Top heavy administration or rapid expansion obscuring the engineering process transparency? This is beyond Takata levels of disaster.

Edit: in fact it’s nearly as big as VW emissions cheating disaster, considering that VW Diesel cars don’t kill you through crashing, but they still do kill people from respiratory complications of emissions.

But Saminda still sell millions of cars in 2015 , talk about reputation…

EDIT : Although Saminda sales is declining overall because of quality issue , but still SELL lots of them

Well some people don’t care about a 1:350000 chance your car will suddenly rub you out, I guess.

At least now I have a justified reason to push the safety up in my own cars. I don’t want deaths on my hands because a runaway Saminda or Auxuras crashed head-on into one of mine. At least, after we fix the 1998 SymTrak issue. (Yes, I have some things planned out in advance.)

Unless you have “spontaneous combustion” in the list of your car’s flaws, you’re all safe in KHT’s book.

How did Saminda manage to hire all former staff from the GM, VW, Takata scandals? Let’s hope it hasn’t drained all the budget for that new RWD platform since they really can’t afford to do more cost cutting!

I share this opinion with several other users, but I suspect that poor quality control is the most likely culprit.

I heard that Japanese are sincere and workful when it comes to working.
In Saminda something got fucked up

Unless you live in a system where workers cannot get fired and there is no such thing as economical competition, everyone should be sincere and engaged at their respective workplace.

You clearly haven’t worked in the government sector :joy:

Those are different. Being a lazy, incompetent and corrupt child rapist is the most important thing when working at a government.

oh, I wouldn’t quite go that far. Sometimes it’s not even the worker’s fault. I deal with Department of Human Services people a lot, they’re all little cogs in this giant mess of a wheel. Some of them get their asses whipped, and others somehow manage, due to some glitch in the bureaucracy further up the chain, to never get assigned anything and end up being paid to surf facebook for nine hours a day. The former end up stressed, the latter feel unappreciated. And nobody ever figures out who the hell that ‘further up the chain’ component is :disappointed_relieved:

Probably lazy, incompetent and corrupt child rapists.

A TWIST IN THE TALE:

Maesima “at least we’re not Saminda or are we?”

I wonder if Airborne CZ7 prototype we gave to them already got crashed btw

I knew José Ignacio Lopez must’ve had something to do with this!

The only news I got from this are that Malaysians drive something else other than Proton Wajas modded to look like Lancer Evo 3s.
