Set transparency, send forwards, backwards for fixtures

Three separate wishes for car and engine design:

  1. For fixtures - ability to send forward, backward the fixtures so you can choose which fixture will be on top of which one. Just like you have layers and stuff on Photoshop but the function in the game could be very simple.

  2. For fixtures - ability to set objects transparent or not; mainly for headlights, indicators and other glass / transparent plastic objects - It limits the current designs that if you fit a headlamp onto a grille, the grille will show through the headlamp glass

  3. For engine asthetics: ability to choose if you want to have plastic coverings on the inlet manifold and fuel system. I would more like the technical look of the manifolds without any plastic stuff to hide them. And the manifold models are so darn beautifully made it’s a shame they’re always covered by generic plastic lids on more modern engines.

  1. Something we have tried to do but is technically basically impossible to do in the current game engine.
  2. Basically the same issue as 1.
  3. That would be possible, but very low on our list of priorities!

so would one and 2 be possible in unreal at all? or still no?

That would probably not be impossible anymore, but we will evaluate that once we get there.
