TBH it is hard to make that body not look like one.
I never expected anyone to enter a car inspired by the Countach made famous by the actual Cannonball Run films, but you did just that. Given that the chassis protrudes through the body on the Universal Wedge mod, did you hide the chassis using the appropriate advanced trim setting, or did you instead choose conceal it with some body molding fixtures? At any rate, this is a stunner from every angle, inside and out - my only complaint is that the upper side vent faces the wrong way, and should be flipped 180 degrees to look as if it’s ingesting air instead of expelling it.

270hp V8, RWD, 5 speed manual. what more do you need?
Decided to throw in a fun fact.
Want to know where the name “Side Quest” comes from?
Well its from this video, which was the first ever proper challenge we did! I didn’t take part in writing the rules or any of that, just a competitor. One of the few fully Brad organized challenges.
I hope you enjoyed your possible one and only fun fact that you are getting from me, just decided to share it because why not!
Also, @MustangPorsche67 have i received your car file yet? If not, ill be waiting.
Thanks for the compliments. To answer your questions:
I just hid the chassis, because there’s a bug (or it just doesn’t work) on this body, where the trans tunnel sizing is concerned. It doesn’t change. So, I just turned it off.
Its funny because I didn’t mean to make a Countach, but by the time I was done, it was a friggin’ Countach. At that point, I decided might as well paint it white and own it.
The rear vent you’re mentioning is more of an expeller vent. IDK if it would work great or not, but it looked interesting and maybe it would work. If it were real (and worked) I would have hid the door handle in the vent near the back of the door there.
It drives pretty good in Beam. I would like more power, especially more revs, but for now it will have to do.
Speaking of power, how much of it does the Peregrine have? And what kind of engine are you using?
From the screenshots, the Peregrine is actually silver - but it’s close enough to white, so I’ll let it slide.
Flat 6, 4.1L with 336HP.
Yes she’s not pure white, because as we all know, Beam and Automation tend to make stark white look insanely bright, to the point where it washes out details. So, I put some gray flake in there to try and get some tone.
Is that from a normally aspirated unit, or a turbocharged one? Either way, that’s less than my entry - but still a considerable amount for 1984.
Sent it, check dms
Normally aspirated in this case. It is very light at 2600 something pounds so, geared right, it might keep up.
You could have used a V8 or V12 to make similar power figures from the same displacement - I suspect you used a flat-six (not a straight-six, which would have been too long) for cost reasons.
For weight, lore, and low center of gravity reasons, but it might change with further testing. I’m under-budget by 3g so far, might need to be revised. Djadania allows resubs so I might work it a bit more. Thanks!
I made a mistake...
Vicenza 208 SGTO
The Big Balls
Refined driving experiance
5.1Litre N/A V12 producing 427 horsepower
Rear wheel driven through a 5 speed manual box
You gotta have balls to drive this thing. Big ones.
Fuck you it fits in the price range
I was wondering how you make this stuff, is it just HTML? I want to know because i forgot the name of it and i want to use it for the next challenge.
its CSS
Thanks, good to know.
Here’s a thread to guide you on it:
Absolutely mental (in a good way). This is certainly one of the best uses of the Bolide mod body I’ve ever seen - it can accommodate large longitudinally mounted engines, something that the '70 308 body simply cannot do. Speaking of which:
That makes the 208 SGTO the most faithful replica of a 288 GTO I’ve seen on these forums to date.
