Start year at 1935 at 1940 for America not the rest

And daffyflyer’s reply:

It is actually wrong it didn’t start at the 1940’s it started at 1935 and 1940 is a little to late because if you start to plat in america you only have one year to develop car which is too short or if it’s outside you cannot make cars and all countries have to switch to military production for the effort to stop the nazi or if you are in the axis you have to go to miltary production to stop the ally. And It’s really 1935 which is really started to have that’s when the modern style of car manufacturing really started to take off. (bodies without seperate wings, more mass production and less coach building), and so we could focus our efforts on a narrower spectrum of cars and do it right. And here is proof from a 1935 Chevrolet ad:

And here is proof that is not the 40’s and they only did that in American because the rest of the world is in World War II but not america until 1941 and please put like if you are in america it’s 1946 and if you are outside america 1946 so it makes more sense.

In my opinion, this is a wholly pointless idea, as it’s unnecessary to have a completely different start time in America to everyone else. It doesn’t hold much of a benefit to warrant spending time on it. In general, the whole world had caught on to the ‘modern’ style of automobiles at around 1940, having different rules for different countries is just too complicated. And, the fact that you only had one car to prove your point, just emphasises why this isn’t a good idea. And the whole “building cars then switching to building things to help the war effort” is just another problem in itself.

By the way, commas are such great things. Use them.

Oh, and also, …:open_mouth:

I think it makes more sense to have the game start right after WWII.

Please, use the search function. The game will stat in 1946, no earlier, and hopefully no later. There is a VERY small chance that there MIGHT be a DLC for earlier years, but this is years away.

1946 makes a lot of sense, and if people don’t see that, well too bad. Mass auto production didn’t really begin until then.

I know that and I have one car to prove it and maybe the game should have started at 1946 because the second world war is over at the 1940’s.

It DOES start in 1946…

I get your point that there were a few modern cars designed during the war, but I don’t see it as being worth starting earlier. For one thing, considering how many truly old designs were still in production around 1940, it means we’d need to focus even more on having 1920s- 1930s tech available. Which is a lot more work for minimal gameplay benefit.

I also can’t see the mess of dealing with sales during wartime as being worth the extra few years of game.

if months are included in campaign mode, then it should start just before 1946, or in january 1946

Of course there will be months, days, (hours, minutes); indeed it is roughly 1946, not necessarily 01.01.1946
( ) = at least internally

offtopic - why is US always trying to get the upper hand and being the one chosen country?
