Hi, I was playing recently and it occurred to me that when you reach the exhaust section you can only choose the header type and exhaust diameter. From what I can tell, when you choose from the different header types, the primary tube’s diameter and the collector’s diameter do not change. Since you can fit some pretty big exhaust under most cars, but you only have so much room in your bay to put bigger primary diameter tube/headers in, you could maybe put in two settings for each of those diameters (primary & collector), since they are a big cause for restriction on you horsepower. And I know that you would not have a need to put something in the game if it has no real importance to the game so maybe the importance could be:
The size of the primary tubes could also cause the headers to rub (or not be able to fit) in certain engine bays. Co this could give rise to trying to create performance cars with nice headers and flow as to not restrict horsepower, but you are limited the size of the headers because of the size of the car/bay. This would mean you ultimately have to have a smaller diameter to make it fit in the car, but give up some power in the process OR create a slightly bigger car/bay (and spending some more money in the process) to have bigger headers so you can have more power. When i put better headers on my car, i measured it and i waned 2 1/8" or 2 1/4" but it looked like only 2" would fit, and i still had to ding them by the steering box to make them fit so they wouldn’t rub. Obviously the factory would never do that so they would have to make room/make the bay bigger. Thus the aspect in the game would have some give and take to it maybe?
Just a thought/wonder! The Car Designer is looking awesome; keep up the great work guys!
