Seriously? I’ll crack a cold one to that!
Must have been an “eventful” race for the rest of the field for that to happen xD

The 6 hours of Brands Hatch final results:

Position name Laps Completed notes Best lap
1 Supersnabb Vizok Svoboda 89m 209 Only one refueling stop and very few technical issues gave the unexpected victory to the beautiful hatchback Vizok. It completed the 209 with an average of 1 minute and 43.97 seconds per lap 1:39.735
2 Totally Stock V12 Baybee 209 With a bit of luck, judging by past reliability issues, got the 2nd place with the laps as the 1st placed. It managed to mostly avoid super serious issues and the power of the V12 got its first podium 1:32.235
3 Zephorus Speedrunner 206 A consistent race with not many mechanical issues but on lap 117 it caught some suspention damage after a trip off track. Maybe that incident prevented it from reaching the 2nd place. 2 refuel stops. 1:36.719
4 StiggyRacing Mawzda EX-8 206 The consistently very fast Mawzda was only fast due to a couple of unsolvable issues which left it 30 secs behind the Speedrunner 1:31.515
5 HPB Przeno Helios 201 Loads of tiny mistakes but only a few trips to the pitstop because of it. 1:39.268
6 Seongu Kando II Endurance 89 200 Unlucky to have picked up some damage around lap 30 but it was still on pace for the 5th place. A big driver mistake, a quick trip due to mechanical issues and a fuel stop all in the last 4 laps cost it one position 1:36.594
7 Mjukost Sport 197 The usually fast Mjukost had a couple of incidents in the first third of the race which left it permanently damaged. 1:31.478
8 FMR StreetSport Xtreme 197 With a somewhat slow fastest lap, the trick was not to make many mistakes and steadily trudge along. Finished just 20 secs behind the much faster Mjukost. If only it could have pulled out just one refueling stop, but it was running out 2 laps to the finish and that cost it a pit stop. 1:41.594
9 FMC Racing Spec Runner 196 Not a very evenful race with only a couple of pitstops for repairs and one refuel 1:44.675
10 Valentine Volstar-R 192 3 refueling pit stops and loads of mistakes lead to plenty of accumulated damage by the end of the race, and a much slower pace because of it 1:39.544
11 Cordelia VTP Remaro Edition 187 Always driving on the limit(basically over it since that’s actually slower), it had it’s ‘hold your breath’ moments more than just once but still it managed to crawl along. 1:39.938
12 Formula Jank Turbo 182 The super fast Jank started getting slower on lap 18, and then again on lap 50, and again on lap 71, and again on lap 111, and then the engine stared complaning on lap 135, and even more damage on lap 152. Did I mention it needed 4 refueling stops? 1:23.437
13 PaixĂŁo VulcĂŁo GTA 180 it took only 40 laps for the engine to become less powerful and after a spin to the barriers it became even slower. 2 refuel pit stops, loads of mistakes 1:39.922
14 Undriveable V12 Turbo 177 Probably the car which spent more time in the pitlane for repairs. Even after all the effort of the engineers that keep the car running, it would not get further than the sandbank on turn 1. 1:31.126
15 OMG Otari GRX 163 Before the lap 90 it already had both suspention damage due to offroading and a very difficult gearbox due to poor engineering. It was the slowest to make it to the end. 1:47.094
16 Centauri Quark CPV V6 159 It was all over the place and some say it was actually surprising it did not crash out before 1:36.421
17 KBF F8 R 156 Yet again this quick car(2nd fastest on this track) fails to deliver. All seemed ok until the first refuel stop but then it had to retire with a smoking engine. 1:28.703
18 Ganner Glave SRB Tuning 124 The crew gave up on the engine after so many trips to the pitlane 1:35.219
19 ZED Batwing 105 All went wrong for the ‘eccentric’ looking Batwing. Problems with the engine and with keeping the car on track led to the first retirement of the race 1:39.719

Yay 5th place! Our best result yet  Excited to see who will win. As long as the Mawzda gets at least 8th place, they’re guaranteed first place! I’m thinking the Helios can grab 6th place overall!

Sorry it took a while for the last round. Technical problems with the designated driver’s steering wheel led to a only getting the laps done yesterday…

but without further delays…

The winner of the 4 hours of Hirochi is…

@AlbertMwugabi with Mjukost Sport (194 laps completed)

Rounding up the podium are:
2nd - @CriticalSet9849 Totally Stock V12 Baybee (188 laps)
3rd - @Deltaz KBF F8 R (187 laps)

Full round results and Final Standings to follow soon…

End of Season Awards (part one)

The Champion:
StiggyRacing Mawzda EX-8

The recipe for success was a powerful v8 turbo engine with 429hp packed into a car with the highest drivability stat at 57.9 and a good reliability stat as well at 60.9 and average fuel consumption. The design is somewhat clunky but original and one can tell it was optimized for beam performance as well.

The most aptly named:
Undriveable V12 Turbo

Just the noise coming out of the engine is enough to want to crash the car immediatly and when combined with the power of 481.2hp(highest of the field) on the rear wheels with a 23.2 drivability stat, undriveable is what’s expected and the bottom place is the reward. Oh, and did I mention it has the 2nd worst reliability stat at 55.6.

The most interesting/strange engine choice:
FMR StreetSport Xtreme

1.4 liter inline 3 turbo charged 4 barrel carbs engine, what else to say, for sure wins the creativity prize on my part. It is very reliable at 65.6 but, surprisingly for a car that weighs just above 700kg and is fwd, has a drivability stat on par with the “Undrivable” with only 23.6.

more awards to follow…

edit: The stats panel under the car are from the latest Automation version and so the Power stat reads quite wrong for some of the cars

FMR would like to thank the organisers for the season and this auspicious award. At least we got something for the WTF trophy cabinet!

Part 2 of the Season Awards

The Driver’s Choice:
Mjukost Sport

Asked about which car was the nicest to drive throughout the season, the designated driver’s choice was the well balanced Mjukost which had a nice aero package for the 277 hp Inline 4 turbo with FWD and very good fuel economy. A very nice design too. Quote from the driver: “I could always push it and get consistent times without crashing”.
Drivability: 42.7
Reliability: 61.8

The Dark Horse Award:
Seongu Kando II Endurance 89

The surprise of the competition was this cool looking hatch. It was the most reliable of all the cars on the field at 69.5 and with pretty good drivability at 45.3. Weighing under 840kg with a 3L V6 with just under 200hp showed that hp is not all that matters in making a competitive car with only 5 other cars with less power than this one.

The most balanced award:
Zephorus Speedrunner

The only car to score double digits on all races and the winner of the aesthetics poll ticks all the boxes: good design, sound engineering, easy to handle in beamNg and above average on drivability, reliability and fuel consumption.
Maybe a bit underpowered for its weight at 286hp to be able to compete in straight line with the faster cars on the grid

(the power stats got broken on this car with the latest update)

still more awards to come…
