The Arstotzkan Automobile: Results part 4! (Also part 3 I didn't update the thread title)

Presenting: Mechanisim

The solution to your Bourgeoise car issue. With only the features you’d need and nothing more (though maybe a little more). Provided with generic badging to be change at the will of the Arstozkan people.

P.S. Sorry I didn’t notice the fixture bugs until after this alpha got released.

Introducing

Mons Lyudi

The first Mons car for the new 4.2 era. It goes. Somewhere. Slowly. Deliberately.

We call it the Lyudi.

Included features: one engine, two roof rails, three wipers, four manual gears, five seats, six side windows. You provide: your seven lives (might need them).

We think it’ll start in the Siberian winter. But recommend not turning it off for too long.

ФАРДЕССКИЙ АВТОЗАВОД ПРЕДСТАВЛЯЕТ

(Fardesto Car Plant/FarAZ presents)

The proposal

The Fardes’ski AvtoZavod presents its vision for the Arstotzkan car of the future: the 45625 “Svoboda” high-capacity hatchback. We hope for approval on the design, which would enable the surely upcoming era of developed socialism in Arstotzka.

The 45625 (4: Mid-Size, 5: Five-Door, 6: Six-Cylinder, 25: 2.5-Liter) is an all-purpose, six-seat hatchback. It has been developed with a scientific, logical approach, avoiding excess and overdevelopment while maintaining comfort and modernity.

The 2.5-liter, 87-horsepower engine has overhead camshafts and dual precision carburetors for minimum waste, however it is for all purposes a hunk of raw iron with no requirements for complex metallurgy. The carburetors are made for maximum fuel economy and reliability. We did not push for great peak power, but it puts out an easily accessible (2300 rpm) 187 newton-meters of torque. This abundance allowed us to utilize a simple, easy-to-use three-speed manual transmission with a steering-column shifter. Crucially, power is routed to the front for maximum traction and minimum weight; Our current projected fuel economy is 21.7 miles per UnitedFed gallon, class-leading for a car of this size.

The interior features comfortable synthetic seats - two benches, six count total capacity. There are storage units in the back of the front seats and in the center of the dashboard. A removable parcel shelf is all that stands between the rear bench and the large boot. In order for the seating arrangement to be comfortable, the car is 175 centimeters wide, as contrasted with the under 160 of many other proposals, resulting in vastly superior space for Arstotzka’s stout labor force.

The suspension is fully independent, with dual control L- links in the front and diagonal Y-links in the rear. We believe that this setup promotes good onroad behavior and compensates for the heavy front’s reluctance to turn - though a hydraulically assisted steering rack is also present. For better comfort and reliability, shock absorbers are gas single tube-type. The springs are rated for a full six-passenger, filled-boot load.

FarAZ’s design bureau understands that a larger car such as this is perhaps not an obvious choice for mass production, however we urge the party to consider the benefits to possible farm use, the prospect of car-pooling, and the allowance/incentive for Arstotzkan families to produce more offspring - seeing as how they would all fit. The 45625 fits confidently into the role of taxi car, patrol car and other fleet needs. We also believe that producing a comfortable, modern, and powerful six-cylinder family cars will significantly boost the morale of our population and shut up the United Federation’s guffawing about the state of the industry for at least 15 years going forward - potentially more. In the same vein, we are convinced that once production is at an acceptable level, the 45625 will make for a compelling export product with minimal modifications.

Note that the car’s manufacturing cost plus the cost of ownership after 40,000 kilometers and 5 years’ worth of servicing add up to under 16,000 AM; this is in spite of the recent surge in metal pricing.

MAHG интернационала

Our french study bureau, has answered the Arstotzkan call.

We answer by presenting a progressive car, comfortable, practical and economical.

Progressive and turned toward the future because of its layout. Monocoque, transverse engine and front wheel drive, this car has all the western technologies available today. It’s a modern car for a new start of the Arstotzkan car industry.

Comfortable and easy to drive. A wide body, automatic gearbox and power steering, this car has all the luxuries needed to deal with all the different drivers, situations and events.

Practical and rugged. A large hatchback and high body clearance, this car can digest large amount of luggages and go on most unpaved tracks with ease.

Economical and at reach of wallet. At 15 800 AMU for a multiyear run, 9.0L/100km and cheap parts, this car won’t waste workers money and provide long range with low amount of fuel.

This car is truly an international car, capable to match Arstotzkan needs while being exportable to fellow socialists coutries and being a reasonable option for western countries.

36 Hours Remain

So far, I believe I’ve received a car from everyone who has posted an ad. However, two contestants have submitted a car prior to v4.2.6 and have not sent me an updated car:

1970 Wells Leta

From me and @S31

Built for the family thats always on the go. Style, reliability, durability, form and comfort all rolled into one. The new 3speed PowerFlo automatic does all the shifting for you, so you can focus on whats really important, the road ahead. Turn on the standard AM radio and let the tunes serenade you.

We even added power steering because driving should never be a chore. YOU drive the car, dont let the car drive YOU. Gone are the days of you feeling like you’ve gone to the gym after every grocery run.

Oh Joy, Oh Leta!!

Thanks to @S31 for the technical advice you gave during the construction of this project!! Much appreciated!!

Paradizna Motor Works presents:
the Paradizna Tilestu

The Paradizians can be nothing but proud of this machine.
Able to seat 5 and transport them in unmatched comfort at speeds over 140km\h, with a fuel consumption of just 10 L/100km.
It also has unmatched handling thatnks to its Double Wishbone front suspension, and Semi Trailing Arm rear.

Glory to Arstotzka!

From Italy, the Pezzo Città is a light, yet robust family car. The 1.3L 4 cylinder propels the Città to upwards of 120km/h with verve and efficiency on even low quality fuels! What you pay now in sticker price over another car will be more than gained back in fuel savings, and lack of repair costs. Invest in yourself by investing in a Pezzo Città.

More Words

The AVO Cominturismo marshal came from in actuality the Steyr Auto Company of the Imperial auto group, Imperial had been working the communist auto makers for a long time, setting up shops for economy model sedans that impressed leadership in the 50s, setting up a coop situation were imperial would sell half the cars abroad as cheap as possible AVO Cominturismo cars, and in return would work with the communist work force to train and keep the tooling up to date, and has 5 factories leased from the state nearer to the border and currently assemble usually top brass cars or cars straight to export as in the recent years top brass wanted more foreign income rather than continuing to make cars for its people until the utter failure the home grown Cominturismo was that had no input from Steyr Engineers, in this case once Steyr got the letter for the new car design, they simply dusted off the last blue print they had before getting the cold shoulder and touched it up for a more modern look, essentially driving the design itself back to the brass of Arstotzka as the Steyr plant in its home country was winding up production following the 1968 introduction of the Steyr Plainsman of which the model is based. for this competition the model was dumbed down a bit, less sophisticated in compression and some exhaust parts to make due with the low grade fuel the industry in Arstotzka pumped out, as well as a more easily bolted in suspension design and generally making the whole car cheaper to really slide down into the bracket the Leadership asked for, such as having the pistons made in Arstotzka, but not the sealing rings, but keeping its high quality engine and transaxle and adding some ride height, allowing hopefully for something that ticks more boxes than not to get back in the Leaderships good graces.

AVO standing for AvtoproizVoditelya Объект or Auto Making Facility to distinguish that it was a more specialist outfit than the typical Auto Plant wording

I forgot to ask him if it was the same Steyr company

Somoni proudly presents the true next people’s car of Arstotzka! The Naroda is light and basic, but therefore the ultimate peoples car! With a weight of just 627kg it’s so light every Arstotzkan can drive it without power steering, as Arstotzkans are among the mightiest people of the world! No power steering means it will never break. The car is made to drive on the worst petrol avalable, some Somoni engineers even believe it runs on wodka! Although we prefer you drink wodka instead of your car. The body is made of premium duroplast, meaning it wont rust on the outside. So even if it falls apart after years of heavy Arstotzkan abuse, it will look as good as when it rolled out of the factory!

The body might not be forged, but we assure you, the rest of the car is forged from the best iron and steel out of the Somoni mountain!

The Pipi Verta
Fitting more into less

Revolutionary space-efficient design brings over 3,700L of internal space into a vehicle less than 3.1m long! No capitalist cars can match this combination and still operate at highway speeds, delivering over 22mpg at 90 km/h. By making this the people’s vehicle, the Arstotzkan nation can ensure more people can fit onto their streets, making their cities some of the greatest in the world with fewer traffic jam fears! But the Verta also runs on durable tyres that can handle multiple duties in the great Arstotzkan outdoors.

1970 BDB 4015 Proton

The Blyat Design Bureau is proud to present to the Arstotzkan Automotive Council our new car, the 4015 Proton! Made with cost and comfort in mind, the 4015 features numerous features to make driving it (or being driven if procured by the government) comfortable and fun, as well as making it cheap to produce.

The solid and reliable 1500CC 4 cylinder engine is made out of quality Arstotzkan iron, and is slanted at a 45 degree angle to aid with heating the carburettor, while the body is made out of quality Arstotzkan steel, with as few complex and unnecessary design details as possible to decrease tooling costs.

While there’s all those cost cutting measures to ensure it’s a true people’s car, it also doesn’t skimp on features to improve the passenger’s experiences, with attractive looks, chrome trims on the doors and bonnet, rear lights integrated into the bumper for a contemporary look, and premium features such as parking lights, high quality* interior, and even independent rear suspension for maximum passenger comfort, which improves morale and will to work!

The recent sanctions on our glorious nation have set the car back a bit, but at a cost of $16,328 it still comes in under the revised budget, and running on A76 it has a sufficient fuel economy of 18.6 mpg.

We hope this car meets the standards of the Automotive Council, glory to Arstotzka!

*High quality means, in this case, a bad standard interior BUT it has an AM radio!!

The Automotive Council thanks all of your for your contributions. In total we have received 25 26 different cars (thanks lotto77), an impressive turnout! The people of Arstotzka will truly be spoiled for choice. Well, the council will be spoiled for choice, and choose exactly one car to manufacture for the people of Arstotzka.

Please be patient while we undergo rigorous testing of each proposal! The members of the council will need lots of time with each car to test-drive, durability test, race around the parking lot, and bounce around on the seats while listening to the radio.

The final accepted design will be announced in a televised public event, which will also commemorate the opening of pre-orders for eligible Arstotzkan citizens!

If you intended to submit a car and are not on this list, message me quick! As far as I’m aware, I had a car submitted for every ad which was posted. If you submitted a car and don’t have an ad (I’m pretty sure everyone does) you forfeit the right to complain when your morphs are all wrong and I had no idea.
