I’ve made a Gnoo. Going to end up the slow and sensible one in this round.

1995 Gnoo Citiscape Touring GN

Powered by an i6 turbo engine with steady, trusty torque available from below 2000rpm, this Gnoo will make your everyday a breeze. It goes 0-100 in 6.5s and handles simple and steady like a dream. It won’t have the sharp edges of a sportscar, but you will know exactly what is going on at any moment, so you needn’t fret about pushing it a little here and there. The car drinks just 7.2l/100 on a combined cycle, and is very, very comfortable on the inside.

Live life like a beest. Drive Gnoo.

  • 12.5L/100km
  • $17600
  • stupid high running costs.

yup.

#If you had to choose one car for your daily,it should be the Zast Miglia Carro

#Why?
  • Its 3.0L I6 Turbo produces 280hp and a averag weight of 1577.9kg at least help economy with a mileage of 34.1 mpg (UK)

  • Within the Interior is 5 Leather Seats and premium CD player that has been in-house built from our company to comfort your family.

  • It has Zast’s Riveria Track Drive (RTD) all wheel drive system which has power distribution 65% at the rear to give it agility around the corners.

  • We decided not to overlay the car with electronic bulls**t because we want to give the driver the feeling that he has complete control of the car,to have satisfaction from a simple drive that might want the owner coming back for more and this has been achieved by an all mechanical LSD and a simple suspension (though the sway bars are “semi active”) to aid the driver.

#Stats:

Engine: 3011 cc I6 Turbo
Power : 280 hp @ 6300 RPM
Weight: 1577.9 kg
Mileage: 34.1 mpg (UK)
Price: 17800 @ 0% Markup
Engineering Time (combined): 146.14

I found the Scarab Flare SportWagon. Light, powerful AWD, with rather good economy and still room for both family and luggage on campingtrips, shoppingtrips and what have you.

I think I focused too hard on sensiblizing an inbetween B5-B7 size RS4 avant. heh.
A Hint of the 87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe at the front, a dash of Gen 5 Accord Wagon from the side, stretched altezza style tail lights. 4.3L isn’t that big for a 90’s V6 right… right?! XD Woulda been a V8, but it didn’t fit with the AWD! 10.4 L /100 km isn’t so bad for 95… at least in north america :stuck_out_tongue: I’m really liking a lot of the other entries though.
@Madrias’s car speaks to me! (well mostly… those tail lights… Well I don’t have to look at the back when I’m inside it!)
@gridghost’s car reminds me of 99 Mitsu Legnum meet Saab 9-3 Wagon. In a good way <3

You guys are all so good at this. >.< How I mine for fish? er I mean, how do I compete?

I think you should try some more fixtures. Try to make a more complex and complete design, not just throw a big grille at the front. Use one central grille, between the headlights, one lower grille at the bumper, some vents and a couple of smaller lights to complete, for example. Also try to copy parts of real cars, it really helps to understand and develop your designing.

But more important than everything else, don’t be afraid of having your work judged, it’s the easiest way to grow.

I was going for the googley eye beak nose look, still fairly common in the early nineties, in North America. I really should spend more time on the fixtures though. I guess with the upcoming switch to UE4 I’ve kind of checked out on fighting constantly with the fixture system, I find it, at the moment to be tedious, but unsophisticated enough to be annoying. Hence the bland, underdeveloped looks. Thanks for the advice though : 3

Taking some advice, to make it look more like a car…

I added some fixtures, but changed absolutely nothing else. Not that my car is highly comeptitive anyway. but I’m releasing my figures to show that there is no difference between the the two vehicles. Does anyone mind me changing my submission?

Hawker Cars Would like to Present:

The Kamala Wagon Sport
Power
Performance
Economy
Comfort

Enough of the boring 4 and 6 cylinder offerings from our competitors. When you opt for the Sport Package, you get our 4L DOHC V8 with 328 horsepower and 7500 RPM redline. Despite the high RPM nature of the engine, 80% of max engine torque is available from idle to redline. Then you ask, its a V8, it gets terrible fuel economy. You would be wrong. Equipped with the 6 speed manual, you get over 29 mpg(US). A further surprise is that you get the performance and drivability of our all wheel drive system with this sport package.

So, what performance do you get with this combination?
0-60 MPH in 4.9 seconds
1/4 Mile in 13.38 seconds
Also, with a top speed of 174 MPH, you will blow past the competition.

There are also no comprises inside the car. Featuring premium leather seating for 5, and a premium 10 speaker audio system with 6 disc cd changer.

Coming to dealerships near you in fall 1995!

From the front, your entry now looks a lot like mine… but I gave my car an RS2-style rear taillight strip, although on my car, it doesn’t wrap around all the way. As for the C.A.C. SW300, what is it powered by? For reference, I went for the M3-style approach of a nat-asp straight-six (which puts less weight over the nose compared with a V8) driving the rear wheels. The rear end still looks a bit too 21st century, though…

Also, I never considered using adaptive dampers or semi-active sway bars - not only did I not have enough spare engineering time to use them, but I would not benefit very much by doing so.

Now that you mentioned it, there are some similarities especially due to the headlight selection. Compared to the first entry it looks much older  . I don’t know, maybe I have some challenges designing older looking cars.

Mine is powered by 4.0 V8 though. I started with a straight 6 but chose the V8 instead because of sound ( could have gotten better economy with similar power from the straight 6 but the v8 sounded better to me).

Suspension wise…all basic stuff. I chose a more simplistic design due to engineering time constraints. Engine took most of what was allowed anyway.

The End of the Line: Conan S44 Bowing Out with a Special Edition.

Back in 1983 when Conan launched the S44. It was said to be “The Greatest German Car Ever Made by the British”. Despite being built in Birmingham, the car felt positively German. It drove like a Carlotta, or a Bavaria, and it certainly was as reliable as one. The car came with various feature that’s not going to blow anyone’s mind out now. But stuff such as anti-corrosion steel panels, integrated bumpers, anti-dive and anti-squat multi-link suspension geometry, double overhead camshaft, side-impact crash safety bars, multi point fuel injection, and anti-lock brakes were all cutting edge stuff that made the car very special indeed.

The S44 became a bit of a hit, not really a bit, it’s a huge hit all over the world. It was very comfortable, and it was also extremely reliable unlike any other British car at the time (even within Conan’s range). It didn’t cost a lot of money then, and it still doesn’t cost a lot of money now. It also does not feel old-fashioned at all, what with having all the stuff that would became standard in the industry 12 years ago.

As good as the car was, and still is. It cannot last forever. The S44 is going away, forever. We’ve seen the spyshots of the new S45, which looks incredibly promising. And in only a few months that car will replace the S44.

Now, Conan decided that in order to honor this much celebrated car, they’re going to create the last “Ultimate” version of the S44.

Apart from the few GT and GXL that is still available. The XLE and GL have been dropped and merged into this. The GS. It’s based on the GL, but came included with XLE sport suspension, sport exhaust and new body kits that include widen arches. Those arches might look a bit yobbish, but it’s a necessity. The S44 GS came standard with bespoke 225/45/17
light alloy wheels. But it’s not only the sportiness that Conan have put into the last S44. They’ve also included most of the optional extras that’s available on the GL model. Making the car verging on GXL luxurious territory.

All of this make the car very much a bargain. It actually cost a bit less than a GXL, and only a bit more than an XLE. With most of the option already included. The S44 might be old, but it still felt like a contemporary model. If you decided to go for this very special car, you’ll also enjoy huge parts support by both Conan’s own and aftermarket means and great fanbase surrounding this car. Not surprising as it’s a great car, still is.

The S44 Grand Sport is available with both 2.4 “Norfolk” Small Inline 6 or the 3.0 “Suffolk” Big Inline 6. They’re not of the same family and have many characteristic differences. If I were you, I’d spring a bit of extra cash for that Suffolk motor, it’s just a bit more special. And with the rumor surrounding it’s cancellation as a whole, it could be worth something, someday.

A turbocharged V8 behind you.
A 6 speed manual at your side.
Semi-active suspension all around.
Turn it on and sprint to 100km/h in under 5 seconds.

Is it a supercar? No - it’s your new family cruiser from Orion*. Coming soon

* Orion is my another brand for challenges (after Griffa) being a part of the same company, to be released in an unspecified future. As you may already tell, it’s less reasonable than Griffa.
