The Grand Tourer: 1971 (User Voting/Market Results)

Yeah, that… uh, my condolences dude.

@HighOctaneLove: I have to say, I was weighing down my car with all this fancy Luxury Handmade BS that I’d never ever use normally LOL. Power to weight ratio ended up pretty anaemic, but my suspension tuning saved me. Anybody faster than me had quiiiite a bit more power!

Awesome! I managed to pull it out in the end with 6th fastest time and apparently one of the most popular designs, all despite my crippling GTP score to pull out a top 10. I’m very excited!!!

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!
Not the slowest.
Not the least voted for.
Not dead last.
Not bad for completely missing the premise.

I’ll take it. Thanks for hosting Lordred.

Fastest car around the track; suck it, plebs!

Yeah, I guess I should’ve tried to design a good GT car instead of making an pretty nice sports car and then chucking fancy interior options and quality sliders at it XD. Didn’t do too badly in the looks department if I’m interpreting the chart correctly. Maybe even a top 10 spot in that department? Probably should’ve went with a bigger engine too (You darn kids and your aircraft motors…). At least my car has a nice exhaust note XD. Going with a convertible was an odd choice, too. I think I just forgot what the challenge was about halfway through and started throwing in whatever I liked and submitted the car before I had a chance to make more logical decisions, lol.

AAgrrrhhh… If I knew that I could vote my car… it would be at least a tie
anyway, great success

Tied for tenth with some other cool people, in a car that took about ten minutes - not too bad I guess.

1st place is a big shocker to me, though, I won’t lie - did not expect that one at all.

Funny to see my car on extra comfort suspension doing so well on track

Imagining my car on a track is like thinking of James may driving the xjs in the budget coupe challenge, only without all the gushing fluids. I’m honestly impressed it wasn’t last.

I can into luxury!
I’m eager to see the review.

[quote=“Lordred”]15+ entries will result in FIVE reviews, and blurbs for the rest.

Competition Scheduled:

Reviews will be posted no later then the 29th.

Can’t wait to read them.

I am going to have to push the reviews back to 2nd of January.

The only day off I have had lately was the 25th (Christmas, yes that’s right I worked Eve, and the Saturday following it) my first day off will be the 1st. I have been doing some writing every night, but with trying to dedicate an honest paragraph to each car with out sounding like a broken record. I need more time to finish, and the 1st will be my first chance to spend some quality time on the computer writing.

I suspect I should be able to finish all of the blurbs and have them posted before the 1st, which should give allow me to focus on the writing for the reviews.

As for my schedule, when I originally posted this, I was not going to be working on the 28th, and 29th, so I would have been able to spend some quality time to do my writing.

Sooooooooo with out further excuses. REVIEWS ARE DELAYED a few days due to schedule conflicts.

IRL stuff are still more important

also im glad i quit my part time job. they asked everyone, including the part-timers to work nonstop from the 28th to the 2nd on jan. i mean, no days off, and shifts that starts at 3 pm and ends at 00:00

Writing is commenced, I will be on IRC, but slow to respond if you want to poke me.

Any news?

OMG! i won!
i really enjoyed my time on the make of the car! you all can see where the inspiration came from
thanks you guys for the congrats
