I think you’ve got it, it might be a Kia Elan… but as they’re the same except the badge 
It is indeed the Kia Elan, the biggest difference between Lotus Elan and Kia Elan were the taillights. Kia borrowed the lights from Renault Alpine GTA, that’s visible in the picture.
