This is just a game of one-ups on each other not a challenge or a race just a learning tool and another place to talk up your creations
“Dimension refuses to build to a RWD hatchback. We already have a transverse compact platform that we will use for all compact offerings as well as an all wheel drive alternative to the much awaited C2000R.”
Maesima reaffirms the commitment to hot hatch market, does not rule out more extreme version of the Prova to compete with C2000R
In response to the bold claims of an ultra high performance new rear wheel drive C2000R from Samindra. A press release from Maesima has reaffirmed the companies commitment to its transverse compact platform.
Phoebe Chun, regional Vice President of Internal Communications for Maesima USA said. “We feel our Prova ST-R hot hatch offers customers outstanding performance and value for money in a highly competitive segment.” But she did not rule out a higher performance all wheel drive variant in the future. “We are exploring all options and of course we might create a higher performance Prova if that’s what our customers require. Certainly, there seems to be a trend in the market in that direction”
Recent spy shots have revealed images of the companies all new rear wheel drive platform. Which is based on the Dynamic Racing Vision concept vehicle. The company has ruled out the use of the new rear wheel drive platform in any Maesima compact hatchbacks or saloons.
However, online rumours have claimed that Maesima on the back of record sales is quietly preparing to unveil a brand new luxury marque. Anonymous sources claim the new brand would utilise the all-new rear wheel drive architecture. Which is currently under development for a selection of new models. The new luxury brand would strength the company prestige and compete with the likes of Auxuras.
“Why the #@!% would you spend $40k on a hot hatch?! Without AWD??!!”
-Paul Erin, CEO of Erin
In an official statement, the Erin PR office said this:
“While we are honored to be invited into such a competition, Erin does not currently manafacture a rear wheel drive hot hatch. The next best thing we can offer is a trim of the Erin Tauga with a powerful engine. Or, for about $8k more, the new Erin Tauga X 3.3, which will be a lot faster than a hot hatch, but is a sports saloon.”
Too bad this is 40k retail only, since the cheapest I can produce an FF ‘fastest hot hatch’ would be probably around 150k retail… then again it’s all CF, has about 550bhp, and does Green Hell in under 7 minutes…
Also I notice that some of the advertised models fail safety requirements. I’m fairly sure this might be a factor.
Just teasers at this stage. I wanted to see just how big of difference a turbo makes both are tuned the same but one has a turbo and more powa i am amaing for these times with somesomething sellable in so.e categories at least
Just had a brainwave. Going to revive an old tournament regular, and come up with THE FASTEST version of the Armada Fore… previously came in the shit econobox Birdie, and then the GTi variant… and then various other “if you want to go fast but don’t care about driving a shitbox” R Lite. range… let’s go with “if you want to go REALLY FAST.”
lol hell no. I’m not even aiming for that. I was just planning on using some lore limitations i.e. using a lore-compatible version of Armada’s staple money-maker, the Fore series. 2017 would be a Gen IV car. Armada’s not great on safety and they tend to use shitty interiors (don’t ever change), but still not going full ham on the lightness. And while they used to sacrifice reliability for advanced tech, their engineering and reliability has improved a LOT to catch up to the competition when not spending all your time in the shop is now just as important as having fun. I also didn’t go full ham on the tyres, so I was happy to get 7:30s with a 500bhp FF 2 seater with comfort in the 30s and costing about 35k with a 50% markup.
But well, since you asked, let’s see just what I can pump out on this budget… car’s gonna be hella illegal tho
It seems that “fastest hot-hatch under 40k” competition quickly turns into “fastest track weapon hatchback under 40k” Clearly I have nothing to look for here with my fully civilised, somewhat practical RWD Luna.
