Alright, here goes speedrun and ultraspeedrun (since there are only 3 entries in TA2 atm I figure I might take a shot there as well):
Taking the #81 for my second entry, seems to be available ATM.
1977 Mara Irena Letara RX (Historic #64)
Faithfully preserved from the racing exploits at Lerance Raceway in 1977+:
2020 Mara-AMM Paragon 4.6 PP (Time Attack 2 #81)
Could ultraspeedrun this because of the half-decent trim I had prepared for PAIN and ZERC back in the day:
1972 RyoMotoCo Xpress
An Aero study car that set the benchmark for the years to come, it used an early prototype version of the AU race engine.
This model was only 244 Cubic inches and made 230hp but managed 164MPH with the newest 5 speed gear box.
The homologation cars where sold in base trim and only had black bumpers but came with an 8 track radio.
might wanna re-do the profile on those tires. minimum for historic is 60
high i know, but thems the rules
I banned open-wheel bodies, but this is made with 3D fixtures.
It’s based on the 10s prototype body:
i feel like that’s breaking your own rules a bit. I have plenty of 3D open wheel designs i could have used, but instead i spent time making another that isn’t, when i had like 5 i apparently could have used.
Perhaps you should have considered asking the host questions about the rules regarding that prior instead of accusing them of breaking them. Especially when you have already shown a prior lack of comprehension of them earlier in this thread.
A grammatical dispute concerning whether or not to use “less” or “more” does not constitute a “lack of understanding”.
And given that it clearly states “no open wheel bodies” that seems like a case closed to me. if the car had open wheels on its body, then its banned. If that was not the case, it should have been made apparent.
if this was truly an issue for you, you had multiple opportunities to question the rules. you chose not to, and now you’re accusing the host of breaking his own rules because you don’t agree with the way it was written.
no open wheel bodies does not explicitly mean no open wheel cars period. if it meant that, the rules would say that.
so if you remove a roof from a hardtop coupe with patches etc. does that suddenly change the stats to reflect it being a convertible? no.
Hence, removing a body from a regular non-open wheel body doesn’t change it to an actual open wheel body.
Bodies that are officially open-wheel are banned in most races because their unrealistically low frontal area makes them unrealistically aerodynamic and fast. A normal body with fixture work may look identical to an open-wheeler, but is treated as a normal-sized car by the game’s race mechanics.
I understand how it’d be unreasonable to expect someone to ask about this if they didn’t know, and the brief could’ve been clearer about it.
A lack of understanding of how the units “L/100km” works and how the word “maximum” works is a lack of understanding.
And a further lack of understanding of what an “open wheeler body” is - which I will accept if you didn’t know anything about the game’s terminology of what a vehicle body is versus what is done to a vehicle’s body, can be confusing - is also a lack of understanding.
Regardless, the point of all this - which you have also misunderstood - is that accepting you are wrong is a healthy and perfectly normal thing to do, and people would like you a lot more if you don’t word your posts like you somehow know it all when you clearly do not.
good looking out. I over looked the tyre profile and was running 50 instead of 60. Thanks
