ARLINGTON ARCHPRINCE ASC-300

What happens when you’re a car company that wants to market in Australia but doesn’t have an old unibody platform to rival the Falcons and Commodores of the world? Well, you just convert your reasonable priced ladder-frame fleet car to RHD and add bling to it.

What happens when the rivals to your Australianized, retro-styled taxi cab get special performance editions powerful engines? Well, you parry with your own. Slap a big 24-valve 5.7-liter in it and chill out, buttercup.

Yep, you read the first two gag paragraphs right. The Archprince ASC-300 (Arlington Super Cars - 300 kW) is a full-size body-on-frame sedan with sporty independent suspension and a 5.7-liter V8 that produces 400 hp, exclusively sold in Australia. Even paired with Arlington’s painfully boomer 5-speed slushbox, this car still manages a 5.6-second sprint to 60 mph and a scary 167mph top speed, which is on par with full-on sports cars from a decade ago.

Aside from being a frightening performer, the ASC-400 is comfortable, roomy, and- despite lightening - still pretty darn safe. And what better ‘protagonist/rival car’ could a cop show have than the world’s most explosive police cruiser?

Yeah, but what’s the 0-100 (being metric since 1966 and all that)?
And “litre”, and Km/h

Well, grab yourself a calculator and figure it out

Too hard. We’re a bit laid back down here.

The 0-100 is…

drum roll

5.6 seconds, just like the 0-60 mph

If 0-60 is 5.6, 100km is probably 5.9
I’m just stirring

Oh I’m well aware lol. Though since the game is “Australian”, the actual case is probably that 0-100 is 5.6 and 0-60 is like 5.4 or whatever

IVERA Imperium RS

MY2005 Description

Since 1997, the IVERA Imperium has been the top of the range luxury sedan of IVERA Motors. It’s been offered with a large variety of engines, various luxury features and creature comforts, with several different engine options available. However, the RS model offers top of the line performance and acceleration capability.

It’s equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission, and a aluminum alloy 5.0-liter V8 with all forged internals, cranking out 403 horsepower and boasts a 5.3 second 0-60 time. It’s stately design is meant to emulate the designs of 1960s and 70s luxury cars, even coming with a prominent grille and hood ornament. Plus, the Imperium name dates back to an early 60s prototype car of which only 75 were made.

As a testament to IVERA RS cars, the Imperium is no different to other cars in the RS lineup, it sees several luxury features down graded to save weight, lighter sports seats and lowered suspension for better handling. All the chrome except for wheel accenting has been darkened, to give a more aggressive look. Everything combined to make a powerful performance vehicle, a Swedish made one at that.

So, do you dare to take the reigns and hit the road?

Harken back to the “good old days” with this 1930s- inspired muscle truck. Does it remind you of your first car? Maybe the car your granpappy drove? If so, perfect! We can’t wait to sell you one of these! With a removable hardtop, RWD and 300hp of naturally aspirated, pushrod V8, you’ll be in a ditch by the time you exit the dealer lot. But hey, at least you’re smiling! Perfect for sunny days and long cruises through dull suburban neighborhoods. With this car’s comfy “premium” interior and CD radio perfect for playing those worn cassettes you’ve been hoarding, this car will be perfect for sitting in, reminiscing on all the stupid things you did as a young, careless teenager, and even better for pointing at when chiding your children (when they come to visit once every few years) about how they didn’t pull themselves up by their bootstraps well enough. They really should learn to stop spending all their money on avocado toast and learn the value of hard work, don’t you think?

Specs

Drivetrain:
5.4L naturally aspirated OHV V8 making 300hp, mated to a 5 speed slushbox, perfect for cruising. It might weigh more than the anvil your grandfather used for blacksmithing, but it packs a punch!

Chassis:
We needed to undercut our competitors’ prices (and line our wallets) somehow, so we used a traditional ladder frame, but with modern rustproofing! Any “true” truck should have a ladder frame anyways. Even if the bed barely fits anything, will never be used and is mostly for show, like with this one.

Safety:
“We grew up in cars with no stupid seatbelts and none of those gosh-darn modern safety features! We survived, why bother now?” You’re in your 60s now. You don’t want to smash your brain into the windshield when you drive this into a median on your way to the retirement home, do you? The grandkids would never forgive you. That would never do, so we put in driver and passenger airbags, plus ABS.

Features:
4-speaker stereo AM/FM radio with CD and cassette player
Color-keyed leatherette/cloth seats with power adjustment
A/C
Halogen headlights
Sunglass holder

I know about it, though I appreciate that you mentioned that in case I hadn’t caught it. The game considers removable hardtops convertibles. :slightly_smiling_face:

now that is sneaky

Sure it’s a little cheeky, but tbh I believe it’s still within the spirit of the rules. It’s a classic RWD muscle car in a different outfit, really. It’s still meant to look sporty and cool in that retro way. The bed’s pretty much useless and the ride height is quite low. The reviews will determine its’ fate, however…

No, I am sneaky… sim

How is it retro again? Well it’s been around since the 80s (technically the coupe wasn’t launched until 1992) and has a whiff of white powder to it. Real nerds can probably find design elements from 50 years ago, but anyone can appreciate a low beltline and lots of glass, camera crew included.
Is it cool? Depends, let’s see what the telly fellas think.
Anyway “-37” means big 6 opposed piston energy with a 12.9s 1/4mile. (I forgor the loudness part)

TBH the coupe version does some weird angles
