Introducing the Kováč Nováček: A lightweight fun hatchback with room for 5, and reliability and fuel economy which lasts for miles and miles!
The Nováček was introduced in the late 60’s/early 70’s, and this most recent 1980 facelift trim features the Mountaineer Pack: 5 speed manual with “crawler” 1st gear, manual-locking differential, chunky All-Terrain tyres, full off-road skidtray, front bullbar, front auxiliary lights, roof rack, and mudflaps.

Known as a slow and unsporting car, it was still fun as well as value for money: Powered by a 900cc Boxer 4 producing 32.8hp & 48.6lb-ft in a rear-engined rear-wheel-drive configuration weighing approximately 720kg the Nováček was by no means fast what-so-ever, but could still reach 73mph eventually. It made up for lack of performance with it’s cost-saving low maintenance approach, anyone with basic mechanical knowledge could work on one and maintain it with ease. Not to mention it was quite reliable and able to withstand the worst of weather conditions with the corrosion prevention techniques applied in manufacturing.
