…Okay, so I may have overdone the power a teensy-weensy bit. I actually didn’t intend on making the car that poweful at first, but I was worried about getting trailed in the performance department so I just said “fuck it” and went bananas with the engine.
I thank you for overdoing the power, actually, it was a very good wake-up call for me to go back to my original philosophy of “if the power output doesn’t have four figures, I won’t bother”
I’m in the middle of judging the next 2 categories, since they’re fairly simple. It might take a little while, but I promise that the entire competition will be over by sometime next week.
Sorry guys, I’ve been really busy with tests and things. I have free time now since I’m on February break. I’ll post part 2 and 3 tomorrow.
= 30+ MPG
= Emissions < 60
**V10I10ilove10cyl- Mentalist GTSR- 4/5: Great gas mileage for sure. But the emissions are even more impressive!
VicVictory- 2015 Ardent Iroquois RS-T- 4/5: Damn, son. 37.7 MPG? Very good job for you, Vic.
nialloftara- Centauri Comet GTZ- 3/5: While the emissions ratings are decent, the Comet’s weight really pulls mileage down. Still, not terrible.
Rollarider10- Mercusa Ramses Mk III APEX- 2.5/5: There’s definitely decent gas mileage, but the fumes are not blocked out from this.
doncornaldie- SC-500- 1.5/5: Bro… Your gas mileage is .2 MPG under the limit. Your emissions passes and is in good form, but gas mileage!
Luilakke- Cognoscenti- 5/5: Gas mileage is nearly as good as the Iroquois (36.6 MPG), but emissions is 11 units down (from 61 to 50)! Good job!
HighOctaneLove- 2015 Bogliq Patriarch- 3/5: This certainly has good gas mileage and good emissions, but not amazing. I’ll take the ratings with pleasure.
xABSOLUTIONx- AED Myst- 2.5/5: Eh, emissions are OK and gas mileage is decent. Nothing really stands out here.
Tycondero- Astana Avenger- 4/5: Impressive, manages 32.3 MPG and an emissions rating of 55. Nice.
ViruTypeR- AMC V8 ZZ-R- 3.5/5: It’s a less-good version of the Astana Avenger. It’s by no means bad, but it isn’t as good as the previous car.
ESkuda- Torino- 2.5/5: Even though it has a 6.5L V8 that screams “'MURICA!”, it actually does semi-decent. Emissions is eh, but economy is good considering that engine.
vmo- Montes ZD-R MRP- 2.5/5: Decent all-round. Nothing to write home about.
AshleyBlack- Black Sterling S- 1/5: The second car to go under the limit (By .6 MPG!). Emissions are decent, but again, GAS MILEAGE!
onix953- BZ Motors GARIBALDI USS- 0/5: Didn’t I say emissions UNDER 100? Because I’m getting a readout of 473 IN EMISSIONS. WHAT. I don’t want to be harsh, but that’s 4.7 TIMES OVER THE MAXIMUM!
Razyx- Salo 570 LS- 2.5/5 Good gas mileage, but emissions are just under; like, A SINGLE POINT UNDER; 100.
oppositelock- GSI Orcus V- 3/5: Good gas mileage, but the emissions aren’t something that you can avoid considering the competition.
utopian201- Utopia R- 2/5: OK gas mileage, but emissions, at 95, is pretty meh.
Chipskate- Decker Super Special 60th Anniversary- 2.5/5 You’re telling me that the car with the most HP and Torque also doesn’t have the worst MPG or emissions? This deserves an award just for that.
Rossriders- Weiler Lion15- 3.5/5: Gas mileage is meh, but OH MY, THE EMISSIONS ARE AMAZING! A rating of 44 is absolutely breathtaking.
Leonardo9613- Baltazar Basil GTS- 3/5: Very good mileage and emissions considering power. Decent compared with the others.
Strop, Vosnox- GK-R- 3.5/5: The award for the CRAZIEST LOW EMISSIONS goes to Strop and Vosnox, with a rating of ONLY 37. That said, mileage isn’t great… **
funny story behind my cars MPG haha
I normally work using L/100kms, in which a lower value is better. For this challenge I used MPG, in which a HIGHER value is better. So as I turned up the power (keeping in mind I don’t usually work with turbochargers so I wasn’t really questioning the results) the value for fuel efficiency was decreasing, so I paid no attention haha
By the time I released what I had done I’d moved onto tuning the suspension, so I settled for a good enough MPG and focused on that… I regret that now haha
Turns out a moderately tuned turbo with a high end exhaust really helps enissions. If I’d gone with 1000hp, I suspect I would have lost a point for the loss in economy. (Mighta been worth it though!)
I suspect my car will lose out heavily in the comfort stakes, but it’s not half bad in the costs! Regardless of the initial controversy in scoring, the GK was always meant to ve performance first, so I’ll take whatever!
Well it isn’t tomorrow, but the final challenge has arrived! I’ll do part 1 and 2 separately.
= $ > $20,000
= Production units < 250
V10I10ilove10cyl- Mentalist GTSR- 3.5/5: It isn’t all that expensive considering the MASSIVE budget, and production units are about half.
VicVictory- 2015 Ardent Iroquois RS-T- 3.5/5: While quite cheap to produce, the production units are higher than the GTSR.
nialloftara- Centauri Comet GTZ- 3/5: Its costs are average, but the productions are also average. So it gets an average score.
Rollarider10- Mercusa Ramses Mk III APEX- 5/5: The Ramses is quite cheap to produce, as well as having low production units.
doncornaldie- SC-500- 3/5: The SC-500 is pretty expensive to make, but the production units are fairly good.
Luilakke- Cognoscenti- 2/5: Just barely slips under the mark in price, and also has a lot of production units.
HighOctaneLove- 2015 Bogliq Patriarch- 2.5/5: The costs are high, but the production units aren’t bad either.
xABSOLUTIONx- AED Myst- 3/5: Pretty decent all-around.
Tycondero- Astana Avenger- 4/5: Good again, manages to cost about $22,000. Production units aren’t all that great, however.
ViruTypeR- AMC V8 ZZ-R- 2/5: The ZZ-R just barely misses the mark in costs, and the production units are very high as well.
ESkuda- Torino- 2.5/5: The costs are pretty high and the production units are surprisingly high for a car of this price.
vmo- Montes ZD-R MRP- 2.5/5: While it is cheap to make, the production units are again high for its price.
AshleyBlack- Black Sterling S- 1.5/5: You really love going over or under the limit, don’t you? Not to be harsh, but the car costs exactly $54.76 over the limit. Uh… Eheheh…
onix953- BZ Motors GARIBALDI USS- 3/5: In a twist of the norm, the car costs quite a but to make but the production units are less than many cars here.
Razyx- Salo 570 LS- 3/5: Again, the costs are higher than the USS, but the production units are even lower.
oppositelock- GSI Orcus V- 5/5: Production units are low for the Orcus, and costs are even lower. Great!
utopian201- Utopia R- 4.5/5: It’s cheap and production costs are low.
Chipskate- Decker Super Special 60th Anniversary- 3/5: Again, while it seems as if it would be the most expensive car, it isn’t. Nor does it have a huge production unit rating.
Rossriders- Weiler Lion15- 1.5/5: Costs and production units are very high.
Leonardo9613- Baltazar Basil GTS- 2/5: Costs are cutting it, but the production units are low for the costs.
Strop, Vosnox- GK-R- 2.5/5: While the price is kinda high, the production units are higher.
Oh, my, looks like a lot of cars were quite a bit underneath the budget. And I thought I was doing pretty well with under 30k and 402 production units!
To clarify, are you scoring just the costs and the production units, or does the proportion of production units to total costs play a role?
(Also: totally going to get destroyed in the prestige and comfort stakes, for sure xD)
