Formed in 1907 as Volare-DeRosa Automóvil by Valentino Volare, (1885-1956) Zulema DeRosa, and (1886-1921) Enrique Skye. (1873-1951)

History

Volare-DeRosa Automóvil would first be seen in 1911 with the 10 Series, 10 horsepower chassis, called the “Volaro 10.” It would be available in touring and saloon body styles, and would receive 2 more horsepower before being replaced. 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 series cars would be released during the next 24 years.

The 20 would become today’s Viernes, the 30 would become the , the 40 would become today’s Verlyn, and the 60 would grow up to be the Verleden.

Before the name

The 50 series of straight 4, 6, and 8 cylinder four-door saloons from Volaro and Orlando was introduced in 1919.

The 60 series was a stretched and slightly lowered version of the 50 series.

Series I of the Verleden “X70” was released in 1935.

Straight-6 and Straight-8 engines would be offered.

Orlando Grand naming stays the same as the S-1 and S-2.

Series S-11 of the Verleden “X92” and long-wheelbase “X92L” was released in 1979.

From 1976-1982, approximately 19,600 Verledens were produced.

1982-1988

The Orlando rebadging of Verleden models would disappear without reason.


Series S-20

Series S-20 of the Verleden “X100” and long-wheelbase “X100L” was released in 1982.

Straight 6, V-8, and V-12 engines would be offered.

Verleden VS/VLS, Verleden VJ/VLJ, and Verleden VR/VLR.


Series S-22

Series S-22 of the Verleden “X110” and long-wheelbase “X110L” was released in 1985.

Straight 6, V-8, and V-12 engines would be offered.

Verleden VS/VLS, Verleden VJ/VLJ, and Verleden VR/VLR.


From 1982-1988, 32,764 Verledens were produced.

1989-1995

Following the internal changes over at Volaro/VOLARO group… I don’t know what happens yet. But you get the sick Verleden again.


Series S-30 “Veracity”

Series S-30 Veracity of the Verleden long-wheelbase “X150L” was released in 1989. No short-wheelbase option was given.

Straight 6, V-8, and V-12 engines would be offered.

Verleden VLS, Verleden VLJ, and Verleden VLR.


Series S-31 “Velocity”

Series S-31 Velocity of the Verleden long-wheelbase “X160L” was released in 1991. No short-wheelbase option was given.

Straight 6, V-8, and V-12 engines would be offered.
