Utilization of Discord Over TS

This just happened to pop into my head after remembering that you guys pay for a TS server that is rarely used and thought that I might be able to help. Discord is a free text chat and voice chat platform released by Hammer & Chisel in May of 2015. As stated above it’s free and can host well over 100 people no problem. Voice chat rooms can be setup where certain users can enter them while others couldn’t. So if you guys wanted a room only devoted to the closed beta testers to where no one else can disturb them, of course server mods appointed by the host can enter at anytime. This is just a suggestion and I can give more information and show if need be, I think this could save y’all a little bit of money and make chatting a bit easier.

The problem with discord is, is that it honestly sucks, its crashes, push to talk does not work half the time, its supper buggy, some options dont even work, when you close it it stays open in the background sometimes.

I hate discord, only positive for it is that it is free.

I’ve had one problem with it, but a HDD soon failed. Other than that, I’ve never had a problem with mine, the options depend on what your rank is in a server and you have to close it via your hidden icons.

Haven’t had any issues either. As for it staying open in the background, I am fairly sure that’s actually a feature.

Also, a server already exists, but I haven’t really advertised it much.

The TS server is for free.
Its hosted on my dedicated server, which costs money to me only, but i am someone using mostly. Running TS3 on it is a minor task. Its free for you to use, i charge no money for it, and don’t care for the costs it makes (which are tiny, really.)
Its can technically handle over a thousand people, and is working fine most of the time.

I am not a big fan on Discord. Its a nice alternative to Skype, but thats about it.
