Designed your first track, “Good effort” with someone pertaining to 07CobaltGirl
More based on the number of tracks

Those built around times around specific Tracks.
First time around the airfield. “Wet lap”
Getting 1:30 “All we know is…”
Getting close to 1:00 “He’s called the Stig”

First time around the ATT “Kilrob would be proud”
Same basic idea around different times.

Check this out. Make suggestions in this thread if you see things missing that are DIFFERENT than the things we’ve got already.

Sorry for that, I allowed access to viewing it now. Of course you can’t edit it though, we’ve had vandalism/trolling problems whenever we used open docs. So suggestions go into this thread here  docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ … sp=sharing

Achievement Name: Automaniac
Achievement Description: Maybe it’s time to get some sun…
Achievement Conditions: Accumulate 1 week (or X amount) of playing time

I came up with some car-culture related ones that would make sense and could be an entertaining addition to the game. Most of them would be campaign achievements, not stuff you can get in Sandbox.

“Weirön? Please.” - Build an engine with 8 cylinders or less, no larger than 5.0 litres, that produces 1000+ Horsepower / 745+ Kilowatts. (Referencing Koenigsegg, who produces a engine nearly half as large as Bugatti’s, with half as many turbos, and half as many cylinders, and still produces the same, or better, power figures.)

“Call me Mordon Gurray” - Produce a car by no later than 1994 that can reach 240 MPH / 386 KM/H. (Reference to supercar culture again, with the McLaren F1, which became the first road car to officially achieve 240+ mph, and its creator, Formula 1 car designer Gordon Murray.)

“I’ll need something fast.” - Produce a black, 2-door sports car that has at least 4 seats, with a naturally aspirated engine that produces >220 horsepower on unleaded fuel, +Catalytic converters, and sell it in the US between 1977 and 1979. (Pop culture reference to the movie Smokey and the Bandit.)

“These new engines sound like junk!” - Design a turbocharged engine which is 1.6 litres, revs to 12,000 RPM and can produce 600+ horsepower. (Motorsports reference to the fans who had an outcry when Formula One swapped to 1.6 Turbos for the 2014 season. Note: I have tried and tested producing such a engine in sandbox mode, it is entirely possible but does require a lot of productivity units, though not +15 quality in every tab.)

“This car is Laud!” - Fit a car with a 3.0 Liter V12 that produces at least 470 horsepower, and can rev to at least 10,000 RPM, in 1975 or 1976. (Motorsports reference to Niki Lauda, who drove a Ferrari 312T with a 3.0 V12 producing nearly 500 horsepower in '75 and '76.)

“The Last Dinosaur” - Produce the same platform from 1970 or earlier until 2010.

“Who wants Horse Meat?” - Design a mid-engined sports car, using a V8 engine, and a 4-speed manual transmission, which can achieve 220 miles per hour…Then sell at least 7 in the US. In 1967. (Referencing the 1967 Ford GT40 Mark IV which won at Le Mans, embarrassing Ferrari. And could achieve 220mph. It was the last of the large-displacement Prototypes.)

“Poland can into space!” requirements: 1. Be a Polish car company 2. Build a Supercar with over 700hp (or whatever)

Could we have an acheivement for say 300 mph at that time, because It’s quite easy, to get 240 mph in 1994. I, to prove this, quite easily got a car from 1970 to 245 mph.

EDIT:

That isn’t possible in the current game. But it’s a nice idea.

Maybe you made it go fast, but the car was probably an undriveable deathtrap (prove me wrong if not). From what I see in the CTC challenges, people build much more reasonable cars when they actually want to sell them. So maybe add another base condition to the “build extreme cars” achievements: Sell them, and maybe more than only one.

As Der Bayer said, just because you made a car go fast doesn’t necessarily mean you could sell it. And yes, I do believe the McLaren F1 style challenge would have a requirement to sell a few, and they have to be profitable.

The “Call me Mordon Gurray” achievement requires you to design and produce -In campaign mode, where funding and tech pool is a thing, unlike in sandbox- a hypercar that can achieve 240mph. Furthermore, achievements aren’t in all cases just about difficulty. Can you build a car before '94 that can do 240? Possibly. Can you do it in a usable, sell-able package and actually make any profit? Not as easily. Can you do all of those things while also maintaining an actual car company? We’ll find out.

With “Who wants Horse Meat?” the idea isn’t that it’s possible right now, but that it should be entirely possible when the game is finished. And it would actually be fairly difficult to achieve, because at that point in the game, the player will not have much tech pool for supercar shenanigans. (Game starts in late 40’s, so that gives you about 20 years or less to build up a company and complete the achievement.)

“The Answer.”

Make, before 1990, an FR roadster weighing less than 1000KG, that manages to sell more than 250.000 units (Of course, this is a reference to the Mazda MX-5)

“Stratospheric.”

Make a naturally aspirated engine with more than 120hp/l (or close to that, idk)

“Speedbump Alert!”

Make a car with x% bottom-out penalty. (must be pretty ridiculous)
