Better than a penis water pump.

Way to go Toyota. -Clap-

Look at what I have to add to this discussion;

A penis water pump is nice and hidden under the hood, penis tail lights are out in the open for the world to see and right near your trunkā€¦ penis tail lights are obviously worse.

Reminder that Toyota spent years perfecting the LFA and another year with extensive Nurburgring testing for the Nur edition and it was BTFOā€™ed by the Gen IV Viper ACR ONE WEEK after the LFA set its record.

The Viper certainly is an oddity. An unpolished car with a souped up truck engine that still manages to wipe the floor with much of its more expensive competition. And for that, I respect it, focusing on doing 2 things: going fast and terrifying the unworthy. I covet it due to its status as one of the last truly analog sports cars (at least in the US, and not including track cars that just so happen to be street legal, ex. Ariel Atom).

You can love or hate a car for the engineering and design that went into it. The reason why itā€™s incredibly stupid to hate on what the Veyron is. However, there can be other reasons for why one likes a car. I adore the Viper for itā€™s brash and brute-force take on everything, and similarly I love how over the top the LFA is. Itā€™s not easy to live with, itā€™s not cheap to buy or run. The looks are controversial (I personally love it) and the sound is undeniably amazing. Itā€™s the entire package of the experience that makes me fall in love with it. For some people what matters is just numbers, numbers, numbers. And in that case Iā€™d just buy a WRX and spend the remaining 250k dollars or whatever on a house. But would I be getting the same experience as I would in an LFA? No.

You canā€™t convince me to dislike something Iā€™m really into
(unless itā€™s really fucking stupid, like saying the earth is flat)

Mount Everest.

You are wrong.

Well there goes my argument :frowning:

Going back to the Viper, it proves that Chrysler is capable of building something truly great if they set their mind to it. Which begs the question: why havenā€™t they put that same effort into making their other cars brilliant?

For the same reason the Viper no longer exists

Because people will happily buy shit products!
Example, in the UK the Vauxhall Corsa has been one of the best selling cars for god knows how many years, when there is absolutely nothing special about it and when it uses ancient, slow and inefficient engines.

I know, but I like Chrysler (or liked, much like Mitsubishi) and would like to see them come out of the rut theyā€™ve dug.

When they made the original Viper, they had just aquired Lamborghini. Lambo can make proper sports cars.
Terefore the engine and chassie was modified/developed by Lambo, not Chrysler.

Lamborghini tweaked the engine, but not the chassis.

Is beautiful the C-HR.

Time for proof:

Pictures of space show the Earth as round, thatā€™s because they were all taken from above, itā€™s just one big circle.

Christopher Columbus claimed he circumnavigated the Earth because he didnā€™t have the balls to admit he was sailing in circles.

Finally, there was this: (I apologize for the length, but I enjoy this song.)

Doesnā€™t that describe every car company ever?

Chrysler got screwed over hard during the Daimler years and so now they finally got something going for them they decided to focus on their biggest cash cows such as Jeep and the Charger/Challenger. The Dart was such a shame though. Pretty car that would have trouble with a 10 year old Honda Civic.

I kinda liked the Dart too. And I was also hoping for an SRT4 version. What better way to drum up press than a competitor to the VW GTI and Ford Focus ST? But that ship has sailed, straight into an iceberg.
