Weird, Bad and Ugly Cars

You could probably get the Veyron down to 1300-1400kg, but i would not wanna drive that one at 407km/h.
Trust SSC weighed 10 metric ton, just to keep it together and on the ground.
Top speed 3 times that of the Veyron. 5 times the mass.

I seriously doubt that, unless you go a full CF body + stripped out interior and a swap to an engine that does not require 150 liters of fluids in it.

I appreciate what the Veyron is and what it does, but I’m not it’s biggest fan. Not for any particularly rational reason either, just never liked it much.

That probably means I fit the stereotype above because I do love Koenigseggs. :stuck_out_tongue: Also anyone that says the McLaren F1 is overrated or useless should be punished by eternal damnation to a 1.0 Vauxhall Corsa with a rattly timing chain. Not sure why anyone would compare a standard GTR to a Veyron seriously either.

I think the reason people don’t like the Veyron much beyond its capability is that it takes a lot of the thrill out of going fast. Same reason many (including myself, despite being a GTR fanboy) don’t have much affinity for the R35.

I don’t hate the Veron as a car how could i its the second fastest car in the world, i just don’t like how it looks.

You forgot that you have to actively love the AE86 because its engine revs to like 12k and makes like 400 horsepower and has super advanced suspension and has like the weight of a stripped down Miata! But you still need to love the miata because the early ones were so fucking adorable and obviously the only cheapish sports cars

On the subject of a Miata and CT - you must automatically love and worship clown Alex’s cheap ass ghetto build, and preferably send him moeny for towtruck from the Nurburgring. (That was the point where I ripped CT sticker off my car)

Also while we’re on topic of GTR…
UGLY CARS, the R35 GTR

When they first introduced the thing it was so ugly that none of the Nissan Skyline GTR fans wanted this. The revolt was real and the fact that it wasn’t called “Skyline” did not help, but hey… time went on and somehow “fast = beautiful” became a thing (Hello Lexus LFA)…

Oh, by the way!

Lexus LFA another ugly as sin car that paved the way the whole frigid lexus lineup consisting of cars looking like very angry refrigerators after being hit with hammers.
But the “Oh my god this is ugly as sin” going “this is the best design ever” award goes to this

The thing was so awful looking that the sales of Mercedes W211 had an increase of 30% when the BMW E39 owners saw what car they had to buy next. Somehow these days there are people stating that “BMW themselves consider the e60 to be their best looking BMW to date” to which I ask if they’ve seen a 507.

You can dislike that LFA, but if I had a million dollars, the first thing I’d do is splurge 300k on an LFA. I have serious feelings for that thing.

So of all the choices in the world, you’d go for one of those? I mean, just off the top of my head Alfa Tipo 33 Stradale, Shelby Cobra, Miurra, Porsche 930, Ferrari Testarossa, BMW 2002 turbo, Mercedes 190 Evo2, Corvette Stingray, KPGC’10 GT-R, NSX, etc etc etc… a Lexus LFA?

I have honestly never been a fan of car throttle, I just happened to find their channel, watch some video that was half decent enough for be to check out their channel, and I saw their “apple car” video, at first I assumed it would have been a video poking fun and the conspiracy theories about apple making a car and just absolutely going to town on the stupid alleged “features” it would have. But nope, it was a video on a channel for presumably car enthusiasts just gushing about how “great” this theoretical car was and its features that go AGAINST what car enthusiasts would want, so naturally I assume they were just payed shills by apple, but towards the end I realized it seemed there was no alliation with apple at all, the whole car was baked up as a half assed attempt to imagine what an apple car would be like and there was no credible evidence that Apple was even considering getting into the car market and a massive list of reasons why they wouldn’t. In short they made a video about a concept car(or rather a scale model) that could hardly even classify as a concept car and gushed about things any car enthusiast would find out right sacrilegious to car culture, presumably without being payed off by apple to make that video.

If I had a million dollars I would have a warehouse full of Giulias. :stuck_out_tongue:

I am a Giulia fanboy in case you didn’t know.

Even the base models look brilliant!

Strange to be posting such a beautiful car in the Weird, Bad and Ugly Cars thread, eh?

Well it’s better now that alfa does not make penis taillights

What alfa was that on?

Good line-up.
As much as I love the R35… it is indeed ugly.

The Lexus LFA is… meh… I really don’t see what the whole fuss is about her. Typical over-hyped, artifical rarity “supercar”. The development of Toyota’s carbon-loom is the only reason I don’t discredit it’s existance. Also, I have to really question the logic behind having the engine in front and radiators in the rear.

I wanted to mention that BMW 5-Series… but didn’t in respect to Daffy. I want to break it’s headlights everytime I see one. Her ass looks fine… but those stupid eyelashes…

No offense… but that triangle… makes me want to put anything Alfa has ever made in this thread.
She has a nice ass though; can’t tell it from a Kia Optima.

Thank you very much… now you’ve spoiled Giulietta’s rear design for me forever :frowning: And I liked that car :worried:

What’s there to spoil? Kias of the last few years have been very good looking cars.

Eee what? What Kias have in common with Giulietta?

Whoops, I mixed up the Giulia and Giulietta. Blame Alfa for such similar names. :stuck_out_tongue: I might get it if I spoke Italian, but I don’t.

AFAIK Giulietta is a diminutive from Giulia
