i was thinking…
what if you was offerd some contract from lets say WRC, to bulid a car/engine for Rally, Dakar or some other motorsport.
or you could sponsor a driver with one of your models?
for PR and a % of the winnings…
Would that be possible?

you get an offer from a race team to build a engine or a car for them, like a challange and if u succeed your company gets money, fame or somthing.
That would feel a bit like an out-of-campaign-gameflow minigame, not really what we’d be aiming for. I don’t think such a mechanic would play well.
Well since the game looks like aimed for the petrol heads it will be very nice to have some kind of racing element. After all, car races exist almost since self propelled cars were invented mostly with marketing purposes. It will be nice to have some kind of racing leagues which will demand a car with certain specification like today’s WRC, WTCC, FIA GT Championship etc. and ‘we’ as a manufacturer to be able to build a car according to that specifications and to be able to either enter a competition as a manufacturer’s team with PR purposes or sell the car to other client teams just like BMW, Porsche, Ferrari and many others do. It is not necessary to make a whole mini game out of it. It will just be very nice to have some kind of racing element in the game. Like design a racing car, sell it to a racing team (entirely AI controlled) and get some positive PR if it wins races. Or design a racing car, race it as manufacturer (for which you will loose money) and get even more positive PR if it wins and hopefully bigger sales. After all ‘we’ will compete on the market with other manufacturers, I believe a good marketing will be a huge part of the success. What better way to advertise your product than wining some races 
I know that you have a lot on your hands and I am in the software (kind of) development business too, so I realize that if you didn’t planned such part of the game from the beginning it is too late to start making one now, but in the future maybe?
Yeah, we have always thought about it but always said we’d leave it for a later expansion, as even what we have to do to finish the main game is a huge project still.
