Looking forward to more challenges like this.
I admit, I may have been rooting for the Boulder as a secondary ever since I saw it on account of how good it looked truck; and especially after it humiliated my direct competitor in just about every relevant stat it came across.
This was a great challenge, and I’m glad I helped make it happen! GG ya’ll!
Yes, I really enjoyed that one, and I happily take 4th place (with a canon car, so 1982 model year when it didn’t need to be)!
Fun fact, I also considered submitting the base variant (so more of a Niva) and score-wise it might probably have ended up in a similar place, based on a rough guesstimate (left side: current submission, right side: base model)
Service costs were $560 (so would have been a clear highscore) and price around the $2000 ballpark (adjusted). Cool wall score might have been quite a bit lower though, since I went deliberately a bit ‘mob enforcer truck’ style-wise here 'cause I had a bit of a hunch there.
Oh, and my favourite (almost) Mara moment:
Oh shit, 5th place and first for a non-offroader! I’ll gladly take it. Congrats to @donutsnail and props for absolutely pinpointing the customer.
Congrats to @donutsnail for winning! The car is fantastic and seems incredibly well built and sorted. It deserves the place that it got.
I also should thank @Knugcab for hosting this challenge it was incredibly interesting and more challenging
For anyone interested, I’m going to run a challenge directly, entirely and shamelessly inspired by this and Edsel’s - just with a different wall. If you go through my posts on discord, you can see what it is. If you don’t want to… have a hint.
