Welcome to Tokyo: The city that never sleeps, where the streets hum with engines and neon burns through the fog. Every night, crews battle for dominance, pride and reputation.

You’re the new face in this world. Unknown, untested, and ready to make your mark. From humble backstreets to the Shuto Expressway, your goal is simple: Climb the ranks. Earn respect. Become a legend. But the brighter you burn, the more eyes you attract: rivals hungry for your spot and cops watching for any excuse. Race hard, tune sharper, and learn to push the limit without getting pulled over.

The game isn’t about buying perfection, it’s about building it.

Every car starts ordinary. It’s up to you to turn it into a street icon with body kits, wings, neon underglow, vinyl wraps, and splitters. The garage is your canvas, and your ride is your brush. From scrappy starter builds to full-blown showstoppers, every detail matters when the world is watching from the sidelines.

This is your story.
This is Midnight Velocity.

The developers are seeking new vehicle designs for the upcoming game:
Your task goes as following:

The goal is to create 2 vehicles: the first is the untuned stock version of your car (the player’s starter car), the other is the customised, street racer that will appear in the game’s promotional material.

  • Game version: both Stable and Al Rima are allowed!
  • Model / trim year: No newer than 2005
  • Model / Family name: AGC41 [STABLE] / [ALPHA] - Username
  • Trim / Variant name: Free
  • Advanced trim settings: Completely allowed
  • Body styles: Coupe, hatchback, sedan, wagon
  • Interiors won’t be judged
  • Engineering won’t be judged
  • Both cars are submitted to me via the forums
  • Each entry is allowed 1 resubmission
  • Submissions open: November 12th, 2025, 00:00 CET (UTC+1)
  • Submissions close: November 26th, 2025, 23:59 (your timezone)
  • An ad is required to be posted no later than 24h after the deadline
  • The post needs to have at least 1 photo of both the stock & the tuned car

The developers would like to see a car that tells the story of a 0 to a hero character. The player won’t show up to their first race in a bright green Lamborghini, but most likely in their moms old Corolla. What I’m trying to say is that the car should look like it belongs in a game like this.

Something that looks unassuming at first but becomes a true racing star after a few visits in the tuning shop.

Each entry will be judged in 2 parts:

  • design: I will mostly focus on the stock car’s styling, since it mostly stays the same on the tuned car
  • Modifications: What changes were made to turn the original car into it’s modified form.

Can you rehost the images somewhere other than Imgur for anyone in the UK please?

Or at least put the plain text in a drop-down.

Should work now hopefully :fearful:

I can’t see the images on my end either.

Given that both cars are supposed to be submitted to you, Does that mean that both the “Standard” and the “Modified” cars are going to be judged?

Yes, the stock and tuned cars will be rated seperately as following:
Each entry will be judged in 2 parts, design and modifications. I will mostly focus on the stock car’s styling for the design part (since the styling mostly stays the same on the tuned car) and the modifications will be focused on the tuned car ofcourse.

I know I can’t see the brief on my end, but I don’t know why - so why not repost it as simple text?

Without engineering criteria in the judging for this round, I can sum up its objective in seven words: if it looks right, it is right!

Is there any preference on Nationality or Body style?

You’re completely free to choose the nationality of your car, and the allowed body styles are in the rules :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

However the cars have to be a JDM spec so amber rear turn signals and no side markers (I will include this in the rules)

Given that the cars need to be JDM Spec, do they also need Japanese Number plates, or can we use another countries plate like the UK or a Gran turismo style for instance?

The car needs a Japanese sized number plate at the front and rear, but you are allowed to remove the front plate

When you say submitted through the forums do you mean this one or dm the files to you?

DM the .Car file to him on this site.

Message me with both .Car files via the forums

Does the base car need to look like its in pristine condition, or are we free to add things like rust?

Some rust and dust may be added, but no mismatched / miscolored parts or missing / broken windows
