AT Motors Group Design Thread

Chapter 1: [ the start ]
In 1946, the AT Motor co. is founded by Adam Tomás (1920-2016) and his buddy Tom Chan (1926- still alive) back in London, UK. They first started in a barn building race cars for the local racing series for customer teams and got a pretty good rep and some more money, so they decided to step up a bit more. In 1952, after a few more expiations like hiring more guys and moving to a bigger barn, Tom and Adam decided to start looking for making road cars, so they start building the first prototype called AT-01 to test out what they could make back then. After 4 long years of development and maybe a fire that burned down the first prototype, They had created the AT Irys, a mid engine, light weight, V8 sport car. It was a pretty fast car back then, with more than 220hp and it’s light weight design, it could even out run a stock car back then. Becuase of it’s looks and performance, it was on quite some amount of movies and TV shows, and it was popular among teens with many of them have a poster of an AT Irys on their walls. Thanks to the sudden popularity of the AT Irys, AT Motors got quite some capital and fame in the car culture, so they decided to start a new division, a racing division.

Chapter 2: [ back to the roots ]
In the late 50s and the early 60s, AT Motors Built another 2 factory in London, and Chicago. They were still selling sport cars and even starting to sell luxury sedans in the US. In 1958, Adam and Tom started Cosmoth Racing DIv. and renamed AT Motor co. to the current AT Motor Group. At first, Cosmoth only makes engines and transmission for adv. trim of some AT cars, but In 1962, December 1st, Tom started to tell his engineers to start working on a racing V8, based on the first V8 they made. And entered into le mans, they somehow finished a race car in 1963, but the car burned up (again) , so they have to back down a bit, and only sell the engine to different teams. They did pretty well but not as good as leaving a legendary name in the history of racing (just yet).

"The blazing hot AT™"
Some said there is a urban legend amongst the employees that there is a very hot curse In the early days of AT motors, some say any employee that dares to leak secrets or steal technically prints from the company would be cursed with the blazing hot™ curse as they would experience “sense of fear from their rear”, or just " fucking burnt to death in a horrible accident".

Chapter 3: [ Really fast race cars ]
In the late 70s, AT Motor group had expanded a lot more, now they even have an asia Div. based in Hong Kong, the home city for Tom. In 1977, the cosmoth racing div., now renamed into AT-Cosmoth Racing, started on working on the latest generation of F1 cars to enter the 1978 F1 championship. SInce they were making engines for different teams in F1 for a while now, they are pretty sure on how to make a gud enigne. But a ground breaking discovery by some brits called ground effect helped Cosmoth to develop one of the fastest cars in the era, Enter the 1978 AT-Cosmoth 078-R “The Red Rapier”. Powered by a 3.5L Cosmoth V10 making more than 400hp, It’s one of the fastest race cars of all times and one of the earliest ground effect cars of the time, even wining the 1978-79 world champion.

Chapter 4: [ the millennium dawn ]
In the late 90s and early 00s, AT Motors made a few sport coupe and hatchback that were quite popular in Asia and aboard, namely the AT Lumi and AT dawn. Because of the the gentlemen’s agreement, AT motors couldn’t sell their car with more than 276hp, so they intentionally make the cars more tunable, making a lot of the AT cars at the 00s very good tuners. Thanks to the rep of the cars, AT Motors was saved by the sales of their cars from the edge of bankruptcy. To thanks their fans( and get more sales), they made a adv. trim for both the AT Lumi and AT dawn, as AT Lumi-R and AT-Cosmoth dawn-R, which were still very popular on social media till this day, just like the Toyota Super and Nissan GTR skyline.

here’s some pics for the AT Lumi’s

Chapter 5: [ The modern days ]
Till this day, AT Motor Group continues to grow even further and further, as new division and factories around the world being established. AT-Cosmoth Racing continues to built racecars for different series around the world, and itself also got a new division, Cosmoth Custom, they built wild bodykits and race aero for different car from anywhere, Since Tom is also a big fucking weeb, they also makes itashas ranging from lemans prototypes to cute little hatchbacks. Rumor’s that In 20XX, AT Motors even started an weapon development div. under the name AT-HI (AT-heavy-Industry) to make superweapons raging from spider tanks to flying cars with railguns.

here’s the itashas

and here’s the big fucking robots

they said I shouldn't strap a 800hp Cosmoth I6 into a car that weight only about 800kgs in the 90s, they said it would be way too dangerous, but I think they were just a crowd of cowards scared of being faster than what they think is the limit.

1990 AT Sakamata, fuck safety, the main rule is to have Fun!
