BRC - Out of the Steam - 1945 [Final Race Results]

Green Hell is interesting because it is a faster track than the others, so the approach taken by most, which is to make the lightest car possible, won’t work as well.

It should help mess up the standings a little.

That is indeed fast. Expected nobody to go under 10 with the set limitations What is the topspeed of the car?

According to the system the last car I sent was not downloaded yet…

crap… too much procrastinating and i missed it. oh well! I will go straight ahead to 1955.

As I wrote in a PM: I’m travelling, not home yet, will download when I get home. Patience.

@tycondero, Car tops out at 179.7 kph in-game but only hit 174-ish in the BROBOT test run.
Also, 80-120 kph in 5.5s

The officials have taken a look at all of the registered cars and decided to disqualify 4 out of the in total 53 cars. You can take a look around the pitlane here:

Stay tuned for the results of the practise sessions! I cannot promise when they will be up though, so please be patient.

O man, these cards are sweet, gonna spend forever looking through all the cars now
Awwwww yeah, I have the best cornering stats of all the cars @ 1.17g/1.11g

Well, guess I am the only one that is running normal post war street tires (A.K.A. what you found in the barn that has been baked by the sun for a year or two and is harder than a diamond)… Should be interesting…

Yeah well i think my power to weight may be a slight issue but on the bright side my economy issues are sorted

5.9l economy not too bad.

Just as a question. To what extend is the Dr/Sp (drive-ability/Sportiness) ratio an indicator? Some people have high scores for that while others have low ones. I have the impression that lower (closer to 1) is better, or am I wrong here?

Ah crap… I always forget about the tire quality :frowning:

Any chance I can change it? before the second race maybe?

Probably not going to win, but hoping for a good showing based on what I’ve seen so far.

The driveability/sportiness ratio is an indicator for cornering in tricky turns. The higher the better.

No, there will be no changes/revisions between races. It would have taken one last check from your side to make things right. If you would change something, everyone would want to. It’s already a pain in the ass with all the revisions in between pre-tests.

Another note: Found and killed the top speed issue some people were complaining about. Actually it’s more a bug in the game, but well. Now acceleration really is 100% like in the game. This might change the balance a little bit, so the practice results will be even more interesting!

w00t, cards!

I’m glad to see that my performance stats are in line with a lot of the cars that are 200 kg lighter - and it’ll definitely be interesting to see how I fare, running the second-lowest Driveability/Sportiness ratio. :stuck_out_tongue:

These cards are ace! I would have never expected the cars to be so diverse. I’m excited to see which ones do well on which courses.

Hm, not the most economical car, mine. I suspect the engine is actually too small (684cc v8 lol) because I decided to make almost as light an engine as possible and go from there. But aluminium is expensive! I except to finish somewhere in the middle order, if not a bit further back, so let’s see if that comes true!

this series made me think that we need more early game bodystyles!!! something like the cistalia 202.

Yes, the year was a very limiting factor.
