I have the third cheapest car XD
Damn missed the deadline by just 2 Days… Is there any Chance to enter the competition by now?
If not, when is the next season due to Start??
Cheers
No, the preparations have progressed too far already, sorry. The next one will start when this one is over. I’d guess 2-3 weeks from now.
Thouht so…damn…
Are there some Guideline allready what the Next competition will be about? 1955??
Correct, but with different tyre width and power/weight ratio limits (have not thought about them yet).
when is the qualifying session ready?
I still need some time. I had the training sessions ready but now I need to re-do them because of the sportiness issue which was fixed in the most recent update. I guess we will start after Easter. I want to check everything because I want to avoid that I have to repeat races which already have been made public.
Drag this out more, the suspense is killing me!
While we wait, I thought I’d come up with some (hopefully) interesting snippets about our cars.
So, using the trump cards I have discovered that we’ve got a rather balanced tally of engine configurations used.
V8FP - 15
V8 - 13
I4 - 12
I6 - 9
The highest horsepower in the competition is a mighty and glorious 203HP car made by flax, whereas the lowest is oppositelock’s 83HP lightweight, which also proudly sits as the lightest car at 553kg. JasonPoland’s 113HP car sits closest of all to the 113hp average.
The quickest to go from 0-100 is mattmr2, with 9.2, closely followed by **killrob **(9.4) and **leo9613 **(9.5). The average of the cars, being 10.6.
The cars to watch on the straights are 8bs, **Pylix **and Frisco557, who can boast 196, 196 and 195 km/h top speeds respectively. The average sits at 180, so the guys at the top will have quite an advantage. The cars most likely to be overtaken on the straights are **oppositelock **and Nialloftara. Both topping out at 169.
**Nialloftara **can take heart however, because of all the cars his car is the most likely to finish a race, 44.2 reliability is fantastic, on the flip side, the car most likely to fail is mattmr2 with only 17.7.
A big theme of discussion on the forum was economy, the car which will start with the smallest penalty at race start will be Lothoren’s, congrats! I am eager to see how much of an advantage this can give him. Unfortunately for flax, the cost of his high horsepower monstrosity is a whopping 30.9L used per 100km, so in theory he’ll be starting with over double the fuel weight of anyone else. The average is 8.66L.
Which brings me to the very last topic, drivability vs sportiness ratio, this one varies a lot, anywhere from TheBobWiley’s please make it end ratio of 1.39 to Sniperbait’s suitable for shopping trips and taking your nan to the park 7.17.
I hope you guys enjoy the figures of the BRC. Good luck!

Nicely written!!
Those are nice stats! Thank you for compiling them. But getting Pyrlix’s name wrong can result in some bad stuff happening to your account!
Notices his name is written wrong
HOLY SHIT!
Anyways - interesting that mine is Top3 of fastest cars in terms of Top Speed and its still close to the average in its fuel consumption. Hopefully that car will perform somewhat good in the races. Nice work Absurdist, like the stats compilation! We’ll see whos approach is the best in the race.
I hope my jelly suspension setup works wonders
The “please make it” ratio… has a nice ring to it
Does nobody like the I6 engine? It seem to be the rarest engine type used.
I’m using one. Which probably tells you something about how terrible they are.
There may be only 9 I6s, but as far as I can count there’s only 7 large 40’s sedan bodies.
i6 does have its use, in certain scenarios they have fantastic balance, but their length does make them a bit finnicky to use in other situations (not so much this one, small displacements are ruling the day!)
I dunno, both Der Bayer and GenJeFT have some impressive looking cars. Both I6 users. GenJeft has one of the quickest 0-100 times and his top speed is respectable as well.
if you look at real racing cars from this period, most of them had sub 2000cc engines in V12 or V16 format and they were also supercharged
