0 to 100 speed alone sadly wont win you these races. My cars turning leaves a bit to be desired compared to some of the other cars. I could have actually gotten a better 0-100 time but I sacrificed it to get a better 50-75 time since I assume my car will be spending more time in the 50-75 range then the 0-100 range.
Granted, that is the first time I have seen my name and Der Bayers used in the same sentence saying that we have impressive looking cars. Der Bayers car turns MUCH better then mine does.
One of the features of the Top Trump cards I really like is the torque and power curves in the background. And oh my do conan and Luilakkie get a lot of RPMs out of their engines!
Hurrah! I’m so jazzed for this that I’m genuinely tempted to try to write commentaries on the race!
On which note: it occurs to me that a lot of what sucked the drama out of the pre-season tests was that the cars were basically hot-lapping in isolation. In the actual race, where the cars in close competition are in close proximity, it’ll be a lot easier to see the drama unfold on the track.
The training sessions for fuel consumption estimation and general performance benchmarking have been finished. Players have been split into two groups, the second group starts in the middle of the video.
Mine is coming in just about where I thought it would, near the back, perfectly fine with me I am not chewing up my tires or burning through all my fuel and that is what I built it for.
That’s much better than I expected. I’d have a good chance of qualifying in most events for a start I thought I’d be well more than 3s off the pace, so unaggressive was my tune this time around.
Still a bit bothered by my tyre wear though. I even reduced camber but I guess the brakes are causing problems.

I dont know about you but there is NO way my brakes can even lock up my tires in my car, what was your camber at, mine is probably even less aggressive.
Just finishing the first half of the video - looks like sub-1:56 is the target to be competitive. And in that group so far, Der Bayer is the runaway favorite: everyone else who set a sub-1:56 time had errors that cost them multiple seconds on at least one lap, and Der Bayer just glided right through.
Also, crossing my fingers that the second half is slow, because I’m near the cutoff for qualifying lap times.
Edit: Sweet baby Jesus Absurdist’s time lives up to his username. Der Bayer was completely controlled and fast, Absurdist is utterly murderous and faster.
Edit: Finished. Absurdist is the clear favorite, if the car can stay in the black long enough to finish the race. And cutoff for qualifying here (top 38 race) is probably going to be somewhere in the 162s or 163s.
4th in the second group, 5th overall… ill take that all day
But HOLY CRAP absurdist… looking at vehicle card I would not have called that lap time. GJ!
And now a word from my chief mechanic “I’m givin’ her all she’s got cap’n”!
