Drag Racing Challenge ROUND 13: 3 Cylinders Light Weight Sport Budget! Deadline 15/11/2016

I’d love to join in but I don’t even know how to play beta or stable - or which one I’m playing. I’m using the launcher from Steam if that helps?

right click on the steam icon in the taskbar =>library => right click automation => properties => betas

@JohnWaldock I think you should go beta, if the rules are that way…

So it keeps the utility in 70 for beta or changes?

I believe the number for beta is 95 utility, right @phale?

My current estimate is that 70 utility in stable is about 90 in beta.

so if it’s 90 on my ent, it’s good. if your in beta, thats fine, but if you are in stable, i will help you if yours is failing. i’m being kind for this.

Fellas, we are talking 0.01 of a second here. This races are way to close to just round thing up.
Las round my drivability was 35.1 because the regulations stated that it has to be over 35. If 29.9 was acceptable my car would have been quicker.

I want to be able to design a car with the same precision this round also.

I run open beta. Let’s say I make a pick-up truck with utility 90 as you suggested. if that translates in utility=70.5 in standalone => I’m at disadvantage here over the guys running standalone.
Rounding things up is not acceptable when we have results like the ones quoted above.

Okay, well since the rules say beta, and @JohnWaldock is running that now (I assume) the official number is 90 in beta. If you are running stable you will still need to get 90 on @JohnWaldock’s end. I overestimated a little, so if you are on stable you probably want to be targeting 75 utility. But either way the 90 in beta is what matters.

In short:
If you want to have the best accuracy, use beta and go for 90.
If you don’t want to switch to beta, go for 75.

Guy it’s simple. The challenge is open beta.
All regulations are to b written in open beta.
The rules are written to b read and followed
This is why I periodically ask if we are happy with the ruleset. It’s open beta ONLY. This applies to all competitors and officials

READ THE RULES PEOPLE ITS NOT HARD
The Champion of the previous round picks the Champion Pick. Not the champion of the current round. The champs pick selects the race track and length not the champion

I forgot about that one, or I would have said something. lol

It’s all good iv been letting it go but I think I need to put my foot down on the rules now that the DRC is a stable competition.

Again I will ask how many ppl want stable or how many want beta please PM me and I will make a decision after this round.

Okay beta is back on my comp ==> let’s get this started
We are missing a deadline.

WHoops. it’s Friday 26th.

@phale I hope you have tested this out (and I’m suspicious you haven’t) because 90 utility is huge even in beta!

EDIT: I think 80 is plenty enough and 85 the limit, otherwise everyone will go same for body.
EDIT2: ohter than that this is one hell of a challenge

I have made several different pickups with over 90 utility for much less than $40000. The high number is so you have to choose stuff like hard tires, steel wheels, and automatic transmissions. Remember, utility is about more than cargo space!

but but but but…we have only $30k…

Ok…:disappointed: 90 it is…
