We’ll see how this goes first, I don’t want to make things too easy.
Everyone, remember to use ladder chassis not monocoque, otherwise you won’t be able to make it!

I’m actually enjoing this, looks like a really hard one to even finish the car.
The harder the challenge, the better. To a certain limit of course. I predict that this round will be even closer than the earlier ones. And that’s good. Damn good.
Now I need to make a car… A goddamn beast of a car.
I hope negative quality isn’t allowed, since you’d end up with a worse entry otherwise. I don’t bother with such desperate measures at all anyway.
lol actually neg sliders can make a HUGE amount of difference when used in the right places like chassis and body materials.
I am assuming it id for safety only as thats how it was written. @phale and John can you please address this when you are free.
edit: rules have been amended
i think no negative, just to give dat spice
I think I’ll be racing with this:
The Kalahari Roamer
It ticks all the boxes, but it’s the slowest thing I built for this competition, by a significant margin.
This is bugging me so much
I do have a truck ready but…but…but you know, some DRC cars I made I was sure they’r fast as hell and I’ll be top 3 100%. This one…oh boy. I have no clue whatsoever.
I’m having some mad hassles with a V8 I built - it was made for the DRC car and I changed engines for more testing - now the original engine won’t fit!
Damn this Beta.
Let the hours of making another engine commence!
Presenting the 2010 Bogliq Haulage SE!!!
Fast, kinda frugal and somewhat fun, this truck hauls everything including all the ass you can gather!
And the best part; $29960 driveaway…
What’s your excuse?
Buy better, buy Bogliq!
You used partial aluminum. Isn’t that against the rules? I like your blue truck. Wouldn’t want it to be disqualified.
Partial Alu is not limited production in 2010 and, according to the rules, should therefore be legal
I’m curious if my review of the 2011 model from the FTC went back in time and influenced this build.
I used partial aluminum as well, there is no rule against it as it is not limited production.
Edit: There is a rule against AWD though @HighOctaneLove.
Can we get a final number (and maybe an update of the initial rules) for Utility? From my research there is a difference of 18 points between Stable and Beta, not 20. I’d like confirmation as this competition appears very competitive.
Yes, but the numbers don’t match - my entry has a differential of about 18 points, not 20 between stable and beta.
2 points of utilily can be difficult to find when you’re min/maxing so I’d like an official number for Beta users.
the number 2 post is Always where the official rules are so it’s in open beta with a score of 90
Yup, my truck is ineligible… D’oh!!!
Back to the drawing board for me
EDIT: All fixed, but this truck won’t be winning this round either… sigh
