I help him to get to beta, he should be running beta just as I am.
I have had problems with some vents not registering in the game until I click on them again.

Well, now Iām curious about why this is happeningā¦
I went through and systematically deleted a single vent one at a time until I matched your 68.4 score, @JohnWaldock . When I deleted the vent off the rear of my truck (the one I placed to use as a step) it took away the correct amount of cooling to make my score exactly 68.4.
Just to say, the one I used at the bottom front was the Corsa B style bumper grille, this here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=497688126&searchtext=indent
i have those, but itās not loading in
@one85db same thing with yours.
so now weāve figured it out, iāll run yours if i can get it working, but i will forgo the review. sound OK?
Sound fine to me. Iām happy that we all found out the problem.
I donāt mind if you donāt do a review as long as it does not mean I canāt be picked as a āchampionās pickā.
Also, Iāve had the same problem before. When my game loads it will sometimes fail to load certain mods with no warning message at all. Check your vent tab and see if the vents are in the tab. If not then your game is not loading them if they are then your game deleted them from my car, and youāll need to re-import my entry.
yeah, so with you two, it was a loading issue and you both sorted it politely. so thats OK. iāll run it tomorrow and get the results up ASAP. i am super sorry for the delay, guys.
nah, youāve posted the pics, people can see 'em. yer eligable for it.
I think @Spool is right, he should have a chance to fix his entry. It doesnāt matter that the deadline has passed he didnāt know about his problems until you told him about them, neither did @Nomade0013 or me. I donāt mind waiting a little ether.
actually, he did. he submitted a car he knew was not up to par, that is why iām not allowing it. for you two, it was merely a glitch and you had proof you had a to spec car. for him, it was a car he sent to me asking me to make it legal. so that is my reasoning.
Interesting. I understand your reasoning then.
yeah, as i said earlier, if you canāt do it, wait till next time or take a different approach. i donāt want to say no to an entry, but in this case, i felt i had to.
You really are making a mountain out of a molehill
I used 3 clicks I think it was on a cooling slider and one on a single suspension setting. That I informed you that beta WAS NOT SAVING MY CHANGES.
And gave you ample time to get back to me pre deadline.
If youāve ever been to an actual motorsport event, youād actually realise what youāre calling scrutineering is full of last minute fixes.
Youāve already established precedent by letting a competitor fix their engine cooling - which made their car NOT EVEN RUN.
And youāre barring me from 4 clicks.
For everyone elseās benefit - reliability was off by 0.2 and drivability off by 0.1 points.
This whole issue could have been dealt with 24 hours ago. Now look at what youāve done.
This is how you get ants.
On the matter of missing grilles: things that are stamped right on the border of a zone or on a vertex can go missing as the stamping changes subtly when exported and places the grille where the game wonāt let it exist. You can observe similar by putting a fixture on the edge of a zone, then morphing the zone.
On the matter of exports not saving, that is unfortunately a common problem (none of my exports ever save as per original). To address this if the values are close to the limit I tend to post screenshots of the values that I get to crosscheck. I donāt have any suggestion for the roundmasterās decision.
Do you see the same export issues on both stable and beta?
I havenāt seen an issue on stable yet but then my time on a current build is minimal.
AFAIK there shouldnāt be any current difference in the balancing in open and beta so they should be one and the same, but I could be wrong.
I had to actually look up which version Iām running- itās stable currently, meaning Iāve had exporting issues in both. Iām not entirely sure why, but it may be to do with my workflow, I tend to go over the various sections of the car multiple times to tweak things. And I like doing funny things with fixtures. Putting cooling fixtures across vertices and zones plays havoc with the cooling amounts.
I will not reverse the decision to bar you from running.
you sent a car you knew was illegal. that, to me, is an instant disqualification.
you can rage and complain all you want, but i will NOT bow.
i am the racemaster, my decision is final.
YOUāRE OUT.
Ok sorry to not get here earlier. Now tech speaking if a car is sent āknowingā that it is even 0.1 under it does not quallify. I had the issue with the second round with one competitor and i would not let them compete until it was fixed.
the other side is that u do have the two days after the deadline to fix amything which pops up as a unknown problem. Normally if the racemaster did not have time i would assist with this however i have had funerals to deal with, even now i am only on a phone.
I cant make everyone happy lol. But for future events do NOT expect results for at least 3 working days due to real life etc. Also i will implement a new rule stating screenshots of all detailed stats are sent withthe export file PM.
i also will have u send the entries to myself for future races. I will be the scrutinizer thwn send the accepted entries to John so that he can concentrate on races.
this sux that this has happened but if anyone is to blame its myself for not speaking with John lately.
lets just move on to the next round and use this as a learning curve. Is everbody ok with that?
Iām pretty ambivalent about pretty much everything but I despise the breaking of rules.
The solution offered promises to be more clearcut in itās premise and will minimise abuse by all parties.
Sorry to hear about the funerals. RL can suck.
