I’ve got my car hitting 1:56s how’s that for competitiveness?
Do all cars need to be V8, or is 8 the maximum cylinder number?
mine is high 55
DTM all had a V8 and thats what I would Like to See here.
Displacement … Well If your Car works better with less than 4 Liter, then I would let that Slide.
So it’s not possible to use an I6?
We’re trying to keep to the DTM theme here. Less than 4 liter displacements are okay, but V8 is the engine format, nothing else.

Displacement: 4000 ccm max, V8 naturally aspirated

Not trying to be rude, it’s just not in the rules.
Would anyone know how I can see the cost of the car? I can only see the material cost, which is obviously not the final cost.
In the statistics tab, the third from right, click on detailed stats and it’s ‘approximate cost’, the number next to $, that’s the cost of the car we’re looking at.
Should we have panel/chassis material rules?
No - why? We have a price limit, that’ll balance things out.
How is direct injection available? Is the techpool we’re supposed to use +2 on all? I’m doing +0
Plus five is the Default techpool. That should unlock DI.
**TGR Industries | Kaioken**
Coming from prior projects built on the Automation Test Track, TGR Industries is submitting their race development vehicle, named Kaioken. In development since 1995, TGR Industries did not have the experience and staff needed for a fully managed race team. However, a partnership with an unpublished engine manufacturer offered them the resources necessary to enter the Hetvesische Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft 2000.Engine
The V8D44 engine from the currently undisclosed manufacturing and developing company was identified early as one of the 3 core components to the success of the Kaioken at the HTM 2000.
A composite aluminum block and head was utilized for lightness. An extremely undersquare bore was chosen to keep the block size small and torque high. This however does put the piston under a lot of stress at the top of the rev range, and this combined with the advanced ignition timing stresses out the lower assembly a bit.
But! All of that grants us over 550HP to put down at the track. Direct injection combined with a very high compression ratio was the key to unlocking the power in this setup. Variable timing and lift on the valve-train offered flexible airflow to the engine throughout the rev range.
Chassis
The chassis of the Kaioken was identified as the second core component for success. The aluminum body panels reduce sprung weight, supported with galvanized steel across the rigid components. Extensive research was applied to assure all components were as light as possible. The suspension was rigirously tested to fit the particular blend of lightness and stability required to support the third core element of the Kaioken’s success.
Aero
The aero was the last element that TGR Industries needed to master to get effective times for the HTM 2000. Extensive splitter and ducting is utilized to keep drag load low but also keeping downforce strong. Well balanced aero allowed the Kaioken to maintain traction through the corners while still being able to put power down.
+5 on everything?
Default Tech pool is +5 across all categories.
Since no further concerns have been raised, I would declare the ruleset as final by tomorrow evening unless someone points out goofy stuff in them.
how will be the naming ?
I might suggest “HTM2K - (your forum username)” for both the model and family names.
Well, looks like the turbos got removed
Although they were pretty balanced, as they jack up maintenance costs if your engine is 4L, so you must downsize
there were never a turbo in this challenge only NA V8s
