Lets just sweep it under the carpet and forget about it

Toyota Prius: our chief designer thought his pet hamster dropped in a paper shredder was good enough as design inspiration.

No joke, there’s a girl in my last period class with that mustang, exact body, color, everything, though she does fall under “no two are the same” for “THIS ONE IS MINE”

It was always the attitude of the owners that ruined the Mustang for me. I never met an honest Mustang owner, I even had one that talked up his Mustang so much that he even went as far as to say his was all wheel drive and had a “Ford LS6” engine in it. Everything the rest of us car guys would say around him about our cars he would try to best it by lying about his Mustang. He even went as far as opening his hood and pointing to his alternator and telling us about his “turbo”…

THIS IS MY MUSTANG, THIS IS MY CAR

THERE ARE MANY OTHER’S LIKE IT BUT THIS ONE’S MINE

@one85db Wow, well now you’ve met one honest Mustang owner (me on these forums) if that counts…
Speaking of which, I should update my post about it, as will be putting my engine back together very soon…

I take it GM has a shitty reputation in Europe as well? Funny too. I assumed Opel was at least half-decent because more and more of their engineering is finding its way across the Atlantic. I mean the current Buick Regal is a straight rebadge Isignia, the whole Epsilon platform was originally engineered by Opel, and if I recall they’ve had their hands in Gamma and Delta as well which taken together accounts for damn near all the current Chevrolet and Buick cars and even some Cadillacs.

Of course maybe that’s because US GM can’t engineer small(ish) cars to save their shit. Literally. If it weren’t for Congress and bailout money, GM would have collapsed in 2009. So I guess naturally they copy their European subsidiaries’ designs even if they are substandard because it’s sure better than the stuff they have in the homefront.

Speaking of inability to engineer small cars…

The Chevy Traverse: Could we make it any fucking bigger?

The Suburban / Yukon / Escalade XL: Yes. Yes we could

Alternatively (for both): The official cars of stuck-up suburban couples with only one child.

There’s nothing explicitly wrong with them it’s just a bad reputation for american level engines regarding l/100km, and ever since about the insignia they’ve been good cars.

Also the adam is an overpriced piece of shit (it costs 5000€ more than a 500)

Pretty much not any better regarding quality of anything in anyway either. It’s a big Tupperware box, tacky and crap.

And it somehow manages to have less space than a 500… how…

And definitely looks worse than a 500, even considering the age of the 500’s design
