Somehow just made it faster than it was with a smaller engine and in engine tuning lol

i’ve reviewed my fixtures, there’s no other exhaust besides the ones i place to test, besides the engine selection thing also doesn’t seem to help, thanks for the help tho

I guess this has been resolved already. No need to upload to the Beam repository! This challenges is purely done in Automation.

I’d prefer if you don’t overdo the wheelbase adjustments. I just fear meme entries. You may adjust the wheelbase within reasonable limits, for example to center the wheels in the wheel arches.

So far the discussion is happening in the #challenges section on the official Automation Discord Official Automation

Currently we’re at 107 entries, keep them coming! It makes me very happy to see that many new faces have appeared, how many of the “old” Automation players have been summoned, and how many stunning cars are being created :slightly_smiling_face:

1 MB file size limit

Yesterday we had a discussion about the very detailed builds, custom textures and the file size that comes with it. Just to let you know: There is a 1 MB file size limit in the registration form and I won’t remomve it (to avoid people sending random large files).

If your car exceeds 1 MB, please attach an empty txt file to the form and send the .car to me via direct message here on the forums afterwards

My assumption is that he running FR instead of MR or RR

With 2000cc MR/RR you’ll stuck with low drivability if you trying get high G. Even with 120HP you still get under 50 drivability with .88G(still not optimized)

My best tip for you is making the throttle response time as low as possible to reduce the oversteer and drivability penalty. And make sure front and rear use the same tyre width with big rims

@Der_Bayer Can we use a body that has a wheelbase less than 1.8 meters?

I ain’t giving away any hints 'cause this competition is tight. But you can pick up some clues from my posts on how I’m getting things done.

My entry, had a lot of fun doing this. Never really spent a lot of time in Automation before this one but happy how it turned out.

Mons Micro Mille Monti

When Mons CEOs heard about the next big racing event, the Mille Monti, they immediately considered this a fantastic opportunity to showcase their brand. Looking at the rules and the course, they immediately realized that none of the existing cars in the line-up would suffice. This race was all about agility and light weight; two things Mons was not exactly known for. But they had a plan…

The idea was to acquire the basic design plans for a micro car. Neither safe or comfortable, but it’s light! And how better to make it even lighter than to chop it in half! So that is exactly what they did. They re-built the basic tube-frame from scratch, but rebuilt the shell of the front half of the micro-car (with front door and all) on top. To make the weight distribution optimal, they mounted the 850cc 4-banger behind the cockpit within the steel frame, mounted two fuel tanks on either side, and attached a spare tire behind the engine. No fancy stuff here: it’s all about weight savings!

The final result is a featherweight (382 kg) ‘mid-engine’ sports truck with a fantastic weight distribution, powerful 56 Hp 850 cc I4 engine, and unparalleled agility for such a car, pulling 0.94G in corners all thanks to an aggressive suspension set-up and grippy sports tires.

It may be an unlikely candidate for the win, but hopes are high that it won’t be last in a field of sports coupes!
