Regular Coupes (not sports cars or supercars) thread

As a rival to the Lexus LC, this makes a lot of sense. However, the underlying body set has so few morphs, sizes, and body styles available that I wouldn’t be surprised if it were thoroughly reworked in a future Al-Rilma update. Still, it looks good enough to draw potential customers away from its closest rivals.

this car actually is a heavy re-work of a car i made a few years ago lol. back in 4.24

The original design was incompatible with the migration to 4.27, so you remade it from scratch - but in more detail. If the base body set is indeed removed from later Al-Rilma builds, you may have to do it again on the closest equivalent (whatever that is) - but for now, the '05 Mercy comes closest to it IMO, so you may use that instead if such a scenario were to occur.

Soliad Corsair 600 Turbo

It’s a rear-engined rear wheel drive unibody coupe. As you probably quessed it’s based on Chevrolet Corvair

1975 Kamishura Gema 1600 S

The Gema, One of the most popular nameplates in history, also being a nameplate which is typically associated with underperforming Sales reps, began in 1975 with the Mark I.

This specific Gema is the [Vaguely] Sporty 1600 S, a car beloved by people thinking they were the next Lauda. The “S” Option gave the illusion of performance.. without any actual performance, With Spotlamps, Mudflaps and a Three-spoke steering wheel being the extent of the “S” Option package.

Sadly nowadays, 1600 S Gemas are hard to find, as most ended up succumbing to either Rust, or their drivers overestimation of their skills, which typically ended up with the car embedded in the nearest piece of roadside furniture.

1987 LVC LF2C

A revision of my earlier LFC LF2 to account for the adoption of Al-Rilma as the current stable release.

The price has increased to $21000 AMU, but there’s a good reason for this - it comes with more standard equipment and quality now, for improved reliability (with techpool now uniformly set to +7).

ABS and power steering are part of the standard equipment list, to improve drivability (the latter is more of a necessity on newer front-engined cars - it’s a variable-ratio hydraulic system here).

Some quality sliders have had their points increased, to ensure that I got the desired stats; moreover, the aero kit is now fully functional, consisting of a discreet front lip and small ducktail rear spoiler.

Weight has increased slightly (to exactly 1000kg), but it’s now more evenly distributed (50/50 across both axles) for a far more agile feel, and with quicker acceleration off the mark to boot.

Engine output is unchanged, but the redline has been reduced to 7000 rpm for reliability, although it now has WES 11 compatibility as standard, along with a lower idle speed (800 rpm).

Overhead map lights and pillar-mounted seatbelts have been added to the interior, along with a different alloy wheel design, with new suspension and gearbox tuning to suit.

In short, it’s a better-built reimagining of the original car, but its ethos remains unchanged.
