Low weight and high downforce provide the LMJ’s ample performance but realizing it is primarily dependant on driver skill, lacking any driver aids, and with a high revving engine and an 8-speed DCT gearbox that gets it from zero to sixty in 3.1 seconds despite said engine having similar reliability and power to its mass production counterpart. With low tire wear and underpinnings derived from an affordable and widely available sports car, it’s not very expensive or demanding per race and its size makes it suitable for races on less major tracks for individuals or smaller teams.

One-make racing series (also known as “spec racing” series) are racing series in which all competitors race with identical or very similar vehicles from the same manufacturer and suppliers. Typically, this means the same type of chassis, powertrain, tyres, brakes, and fuel are used by all drivers.
The idea behind one-make car racing is that success will be based more on driver skill and car setup, instead of engineering skill and budget. One-make series are popular at an amateur level as they are affordable, due to the use of a common engine and chassis.

Short Introduction

The Story:


Homada has always been in and amongst nearly every motorsport you can think of over the decades and has decided that, instead of trying to be the fastest in every discipline, why not make our own series which is cheap to start off and run to set up future racing stars so they themselves can become the fastest - Introducing the Homada Kochi CUP.

Apart from the economical car which it is based on, Homada has focused a lot more on ECO-Friendliness in using renewable materials. Since early 2019, Homada manufactured the bonnets and the rear wing of the small series racing vehicle out of a natural-fibre mix, sourced primarily from renewable raw materials. Now for the first time, the front and rear aprons, the front splitter, front and rear lids as well as the mudguards and wing including the aerodynamic fins are also made of this regenerative material. These materials replace the metal and plastic injection moulded components of the production sports car. In terms of weight and stiffness, the recyclable natural-fibre composite materials of non-structural components share properties similar to carbon-fibre composites (CFRP) and meet the same high safety and quality standards. Natural-fibre composites can be manufactured more economically and with less energy.

Boy this looks fun to drive

I’ve never seen the base body set for your build anywhere in the Ellisbury stable release, and I know it’s not the '95 Super Wedge. As far as I’m aware, it’s not a mod, either, so it’s most likely one of those new vanilla body sets (specifically, the one that resembles an XJ220, but in a smaller size) that was added in the Al-Rilma open alpha update.

After the submission period ended, the federation received offers from a total of 24 different manufacturers. Out of these, 5 of them were quickly rejected before they even got to see the cars in person.


@Nico_Savo - Puma GT

When trying to look for more information on this car, only renders come up. As it turns out, the Puma GT is still in the development stage and not ready for production.

(Bin reason: This car was made in the Al Rilma Open Alpha and cannot be opened in the Ellisbury Stable version this challenge takes place in.)


@AKA_NOBUDDY - CBC Carrier Cup

This car fails to comply with the emissions standards required by the federation. While the cars could be modified to improve emissions, we’re looking for cars that are ready to race from the factory.

(Bin reason: Emissions are only up to WES8 instead of the required WES9)


@JaayBaey - RFR CUP CONCEPT

The RFR is too loud and wouldn’t be allowed to race in some of the tracks the series would visit. Aditionally, the wheels on this car are know to fail occasionally.

(Bin reason: Loudness is too high, even if it’s just by 0.2. It also uses advanced settings for wheel diameter which are banned)


@Riley - Zephorus Amida V6 Cup

The wheels on the Zephorus are manufactured by the same brand as the ones on the RFR and have similar issues.

The files for the Sparrow Lagune were submitted incorrectly. Because of this, some of them never made it to the federation.

With this out of the way, next time we’ll to look at the approved entries. The people in charge decided to first eliminate some of the least promising offers before starting the on track tests to reduce costs on the testing.
