well in this case, your keyboard life.

it wasnā€™t getting enough useage today.

trying for that but is hard to get optimal setup without the racing header, even with a lot slider it still not effective as the racing header. hell even with 2.0 l i4 it still hard playing at high level horsepower because the header just cant handle the power output.

i know i can use limited produced part but im trying to make mass produced car.

i actually went with less power and low boost turbo. i didnā€™t want to make a new Cars & Coffee Widowmaker

Im not even trying to push much more than 100hp/l. The powerband is too peaky.

And turbo, well i havent tried that yet actually.

edit: tried it. not worth it on my car/engine setup right now. iā€™m sticking to NA

Interestingly enough Iā€™ve got about 160bhp per litre.

But my engine is tiny. Honda civic 10th gen tiny.

im not gonna try for turbo, turbo is nice and easy way to gain power. however, i personally dont feel if turbocharged fit the legacy of original AE86 and his successor where basically either NA or supercharged

I understand that point, therefore, my using a turbo with only adequate as opposed to ridiculous outputs is perhaps questionable to most.

But I do have a robust set of reasons for doing so, which Iā€™ll explain when Iā€™m done.

To be fair, Iā€™d considered trying to see how much power I could throw in one car at once, butā€¦ decided that at least loosely following the challenge would get a better review. That said, I was tempted to try the AluStar II I3 or the AluStar III V8. Either could have been interesting.

tried a v8, a 3.5L high revving v8. but, i was using the wrong body. ended up quite a bit heavier than i wanted. though, much more economical than i expected.

In modern terms a 3.5L would cram into an Aurion, which is in the mid-large family sedan class. Thatā€™s clearly not 86 legacy material :stuck_out_tongue:

The Aurionā€™s a hilarious sleeper car though. A 2013 Aurionā€™s good for 300hp, and 0-100 in 6s flat, auto.

yeah. but even with a 3.5L v8, a 1.3tons+ weight and making 355hp. it got 35mpg+ā€¦ but i was still bummed about the weight. too heavy. so no. that was scrapped

yep those TRD supercharged ones will hose an xr6t when both stock I got a rude awakening at the track losing by well by alot and my car was running11ā€™s at the time

but on point the only reason my engine is not turbo is because I cant I3ā€¦ but the brief does clearly point towards favoring a turbo

I have no fakkin clue how to make drivable turbo engines so here I am with an engine barely over the minimum power requirement just to hit the fuel efficiency limit too

then donā€™t use em. sometimes, a turbo just is not worth it in anyway you tune them.

and the fuel economy limit is pretty easy to surpass isnā€™t it?

Not when youā€™re as shit as me at building cars
